Immunoelectrophoretic studies were made with sera from eight anuran species using the rabbit antisera prepared against the sera of two anurans,
R. nigromaculata, B. j. japonicus and a newt,
C. p. pyrrhogaster. The antinewt serum did not react with sera of the anurans examined, whereas the antisera against the two anurans reacted differently with anuran sera according to family membership. Comparison was made of the serological affinities among these anurans with their systematic positions based on a two-dimensional presentation of precipitin arc numbers.
