Anomalous difference appears between the reaction energies generated within highly deuterated Pd-black and highly hydrogenerated one under the chemical reaction energies are subtracted in both samples. Enormous excess energy generates within highly deuterated Pd-black through a long period such as over several thousands hours, on the contrary highly hydrogenerated Pd-black do never produce any excess energy. Furthermore, Pd-black included mixed gases of deuterium and hydrogen also generates an excess energy, but with the considerably different characteristics from deuterated Pd-black. These experimental results clearly show that deuterium nuclear reaction is generated essentially within solid as the“solid-state plasma fusion”.

On the occasion of the second scientific investigation on ancient medicines stored in Shosoin repository, a chemical study of the constituents of a medicine with the code name N-127, Uyaku-no-zoku (_??__??_ 127_??_, _??__??__??__??_), was carried out. We isolated four indole alkaloids, gelsevirine, koumine, gelsemine, and sempervirine, in pure states from the toxic medicine of the 8th century. This result indicates that the medicine is obviously Yakatsu (_??__??_) listed in the dedicatory document, Shuju- yaku-cho (_??__??__??__??_) and the original plant isGelsemium elegans Benth. endemic to southern part of China.

Comparison between two amino-acid-sequences was quantified by matrices. The hydrophilicity of each amino acid was used as a parameter to characterize the sequence and its functional aspect in a water environment. The eigenvalues calculated in the linear transformation give an image of a biochemical conversion between two amino-acid-sequences.

The metastable functional cycle of trypsin is analysed by matrices. Various strategies were used to verify our proposal on this functional system. It is found that most of proposed steps in the metastable cycle proceed easily in terms of eigenvalues in the linear transformation. In the final step (from polar sequence to natural sequence of trypsin), necessity of the substrate of trypsin is supported.

Various cytochromes c isolated from various species were compared by matrix analysis using hydrophilicity value of amino acid as an element. Analysis was performed on the whole molecule and the results obtained were similar to those derived from biological evolution studies, although there is difference in strategy between matrix analysis and the traditional study. Discussion about differences between human- and wheat-cytochrome leads to the idea of protein-production in plant. A similar study was performed with hemoglobins α from various species.
