1) Isoantibodies from mothers with ABO incompatible infants were fractionated into 19S and 7S antibodies by Sephadex G-200 filtration. As the affections in ABO incompatible infants were severer, 7S antibodies in maternal sera revealed correspondingly increased activities. The strength of 19S antibodies seemed to have no relation with the affections in infants.
2) 19S and 7S fractions were separately heated at 70°C, neutralized with secretor saliva, or treated with 2-mercapto-ethanol. 19S antibodies practically lost the activity by these treatments, while 7S antibodies retained the anti-globulin activity though the titer was more or less reduced after the treatments.
