A mentally normal dwarf girl associated with 45, X/46, X, r(X)/46, XX is described. Other features of Turner's syndrome are absent. Chromosome analysis with G- and Q-banding methods identifies a missing C chromosome as an X-chromosome. Same cells contain a small intracytoplasmic chromatin mass, or a micronucleus, which seems to be of an unstable ring X-chromosome origin.
Interphase nuclei are negative for both X- and Y-chromatin. Drumsticks are noted in polymorphonuclear leucocytes, some of them being small in size.
