    In the development phase, one of the important concepts is modularization. It is the purpose that modularization produces many products in the combination of a few modules. The representative examples are Scania's buses and tracks. Scaniais is the commercial vehicle maker of Sweden. In Scania, small numbers of modular components are combined, nevertheless various products are realized. In this paper, modular standardization is treated in the product development stage. That is, the standardization of the modules which constitutes the product profile is realized, so the developed modules are reduced and it accomplishes the new product development efficiency. After the important quality characteristic and the development targets are specifically determined by quality functional deployment, it opts for the composition of corresponding modules. In this paper the module standardization index is utilized, so it unifies modules. Its proposal is evaluated in terms of quality, cost, and development costs, so the optimal composition of the selected modules is realized.

    Quality Function Deployment was proposed by Dr. Mizuno and Dr. Akao in 1960s and has been applied in many companies for fifty years. QFD is one of methodology to assure the product quality in the early stage of new product development process. The author considers that there were two changes in QFD history. The first was "Quality Table" and the second change was the linkage with the other product developing tools. In this research, author considers some subjects about QFD to change for the next generation, mainly focuses "Customer Requirement analysis", "Technology Deployment" and "QFD training and operation management".

    Japanese manufactures have still been providing the high quality and high performance products to the world. However, they are often behind their competitors in developing the right product that customers really want. QFD define the relation between the requirement and the quality elements of the products, and show "what to make". Now this traditional solution that was born in more than 40 year ago should be noticed again for Japanese manufactures. On the other hand, the latest PLM (Production Lifecycle Management) systems including 3D-CAD, CAE and Digital-Manufacturing tool also has been evolving dramatically and giving huge benefits to the manufactures. This paper is trying to fuse QFD and PLM systems for showing the innovative product development process. Specifically, in the area of 1) product planning stage: fusion of QFD and Styling-Design & Virtual-Reality tools of 3D-CAD, 2) Systems Engineering and Model-Base-Engineering stage and 3) Detailed design stage.

    Up to now, the integration of QFD and other methods has been studied. For example, it is a method of extracting the bottleneck technology with QFD, and incubate the ideas with TRIZ, and designing robustness with Taguchi Methods (TM). QFD is used for transmission between each method. However, when I have participated in the place of design of experiment with TM in our company, the scene for which the result of QFD has been used enough was few. The main reasons are "The result of QFD is complex", "It takes time to execute QFD", "QFD is not executed.", and so on. Then, to increase the effect of using TM, I examined the method of executing QFD readily and effectively in the design of experiment. In this report, I propose the method of executing effective QFD to the extraction of control factor, and report on the effect confirmed by an actual experiment.

    For a company to improve the performance of its organizational activities, it is important to clarify its goals and targets, share them among members concerned, and carry out its business operations. As a method to bring this approach into practice, we have been proposing the implementation of a process for planning effective and fast work processes. The planning involves correlating target items, which can be identified based on the company's missions and performance targets, with job functions to achieve the objectives as well as job assurance items as the indicators for managing the job functions. In addition, we focused on job functions for organizational innovation, which had been considered difficult to break down. We proposed a method to examine situations that can bring out intrinsic motivation in the members of an organization, identify specific job functions to stimulate such motivation through determining what functions can be encouraged by the organization as well as what roles can be played by its managers, and share and implement the identified job functions among relevant members.

    Today, manufacturers are faced with the problem of developing new product based on customer requirements. Because customer requirements are subjects to quick and unexpected changes, manufacturers must find a way to incorporate these variations as soon as they happen real-time. Generally, product development is begun by researching the VOC (Voice of customer) through questionnaires. Requirement management develops customer demand can be better predicted and created through requirement management from the manufacture's side. This paper indicates the fundamental concepts behind requirement management and which of them may help clarify customer demand from the manufacture's side. Additionally, the relationship between requirement management and quality function deployment is also clarified.

    The quality table is a tool widely used in the new product development. When we learn QFD for the first time, the quality table becomes basic of study. Therefore, the program of a lot of QFD educations adopts training that makes the quality table. However, people who attended QFD have the problem of not using the learnt knowledge if there is no chance to apply by the business. We considered the method of company training for which people who had attended QFD would use the quality table at once. As a result, because we adopted the quality table that can be written in one hour for company training, the case is shown.

    医療は,患者の多様性や生体侵襲を伴うといった医療固有の特徴によって管理すべき事項が多いために複雑であることから,最適な医療業務プロセスの構築は容易ではない.本研究では,複雑な医療業務プロセスが,よい業務のやり方が組み込まれた標準モジュールの構築によって,従来よりも効果的かつ効率的に業務プロセスを検討することを考えた.本稿では,医療業務の中で最も複雑といえる手術プロセスに焦点を当て,手術における質保証を実現するために達成すべき業務機能を,標準モジュールとして導く方法を開発した.このとき,PDCAやプロセスアプローチといった概念や医療業務の特徴を観点として用いながら業務機能展開を行った.得られた業務機能である標準モジュールのセットについて妥当であることが示唆された.

    実験計画法などの統計的手法を用いてノイズに強い設計を行うための手法は,総称してロバストパラメータ設計と呼ばれる.その代表的な方法体系としてタグチメソッドがある.タグチメソッドが対象とする最も単純なシステムは入出力が1つずつ存在する場合であるが,入力を複数とりあげることによって,複数の入力を比較できる,より広い範囲の目標値を実現できるか検討できるといったメリットが存在する.実際,入力が複数存在する場合の議論もいくつかある.しかし,入力が1つだけ存在する場合を回帰分析の意味で自然に拡張したものは見られない.本稿では,既存の手法の理論的な問題点を示し,入力が1つだけ存在する場合の自然な拡張としてその問題点を解決する設計方法を提案する.また,実証分析によって提案手法が良い設計解を導くのみならず,信号因子を複数とりあげるメリットを生かすために有用であることを示す.

    近年,企業・組織が動画マニュアルを活用し,業務の質の向上に成果をあげている.しかし,どのような動画マニュアルを作れば正確な作業方法の伝達ができるのかについては必ずしも明確になっていない.本論文では,2つの作業を例に取り上げ,動画マニュアルの表現方法を実験計画法を用いて系統的に変化させ,それぞれの動画マニュアルを用いて作業した場合に発生したヒューマンエラー(指示した作業内容からの逸脱)の件数を調べた.また,得られたデータをもとに,表現方法によりヒューマンエラー発生率がどのように変わるのかを解析した.結果として,作業の特性によって有効な表現方法に違いがあること,ただし,作業の特性によって相反する条件が最適となることはなく,動画を撮影するアングル,拡大した画像の挿入方法,注意文の文字色・挿入方法,作業全体の流れを示す図や作業目的を説明する図の活用方法などの条件を適切に選ぶことで,エラー発生率の低い動画マニュアルを実現できることが分かった.
