In recent years, various compliance violations have been revealed in Japanese companies. This paper focuses on systematic misconduct in the manufacturing field from the standpoint of quality assurance, such as quality data fabrication, disguise of manufacturing processes and false indications. Then, the ideal organization for compliance about quality assurance is described using the organization’s system diagram.
The proposal in this paper is composed of five viewpoints. First, the organizational structure for compliance about quality assurance is shown. Secondly, the need for awareness and educational activities regarding compliance about quality assurance is shown. Third, the management of processes that lead to compliance about quality assurance is shown. Based on these matters, risk management for the occurrence of misconduct related to quality assurance becomes possible. Furthermore, from the point of view of crisis management, fourthly, early detection of violations and quick coping actions are shown, and finally, efforts to prevent recurrence are shown.
