Multivariate statistical analyses using principal component analyses (PCA) and Mahalanobis' method were applied to the quality control of radioallergosorbent test (RAST) . Mites and foods allergen were analyzed by PCA method, and foods allergen were analyzed by Mahalanobis' method. The vast differences in the distribution on titers among the mites and the foods were observed. To evaluate the results of a test and the quality of kits for test statistically, it should be better to use multivariate analyses such as PCA or Mahalanobis' method.
201T1 myocardial scintigraphy was evaluated in patients with 18 mitral stenosis cases. Left atrium was to be seen in ANT (16.7%), LAO (16.7%), MLAO (16.7%) and L-LAT (11.1%), respectively. Furthermore, 201T1 uptake ratio of left atrium, right ventricle, pulmonary area tended significantly to increase in visible group compared with invisible group. PCW pressure was correlated with left atrial Tl uptake (r=0.51, p<0.005), and it indicated some correlation between left atrial pressure and201T1 uptake.
During the past 3 years, we have performed 1525 studies of67Ga scintigraphy and 38 cases of these showed suppressed liver uptake; 19 cases after chemotherapy, 13 cases with liver dysfunction and 6 cases with competitive blockade. Many cases in chemotherapy used cyclophosphamide and vincristine, and were performed67Ga scan within 1 week after chemotherapy. In cases showed suppressed uptake by liver after chemotherapy, serum Fe was markedly increased and UIBC was markedly decreased (p<0.01) . This suggested that serum Fe influenced suppressed uptake by liver more than carrier-protein, disturbed hepatic cells, and receptors.
