We experimented upon the effect of acupuncture on the Ca
2+ concentration on rabbits using ion selected needle-like electrode. The result showed the Ca
2+ concentrations of meridian points and accepoints were obviously higher than that of neither non-meridian points nor non-acupoints. Puncturing the acupoints or non-acupoints on the meridian can make increase of Ca
2+ concentration of other acupoints on the same meridian but decrease of Ca
2+ concentration of lateral points on the same meridian. It indicates that Ca
2+ concentration on the inside or outside of meridian might be redistributed. When rabbits appeared experimental arrythmia, Ca
2+ concentration of point Quze of the pericardium channel decreased. But that of the lateral point Chize and lower limbs' point Zusanli had no changes. Key words: Ca
2+. activity of meridian-collateral, ion selected needlelike electrode.
