We studied the characteristics of Ryodoraku pattern on the medical examination (Health Dock Provided with Oriental and Western Medicine) from 1999 to 2001 in Gifu Prefectural Gero Hot-Spring Hospital.
The subjects w ere 882 person (137 females and 745 males) and their average age was 55.0±5.6 years old (range25-85). First, they were relaxed in a quiet room, in upright position grasped the measurement handgrip electrodes and next electric current value Ryodoraku Representatire Measuring Points were measured by the Nerometer (NERO SYSTEM VISION D-603 Japan) with D. C.12V, 200 μA. The measurement was performed from 2p. m. to 5p. m. and analyzed by the statistical software Statview (SAS).
    The results were as follows.
    1) The normality of e ach Ryodoraku pattern was not found.
    2) Only at the H2 right, the average electrical curre nt value in males was significantly higher than that in females.
    3) The Ryodoraku pattern plotted on the Ryodoraku chart was diverse. It is conceivable that original pattern of data at Health Dock provided with Oriental and Western Medicine.
In the next step, we would investigate about the association between the Ryodora ku pattern and the clinical data.
