Traditional Chinese Medicine identifies patterns through four diagnostic method, that is to say, Inspection, Auscultation and olfaction, Inquiring, and palpation₁₎. There are bilaterally symmetric 24 meridians and collaterals in total. It is one of the characteristics of Total Ryodoraku Measurement to show the differences between right and left sides and the differences more than 15㎂ is considered abnormal. Usually the Ryodoraku chart indicates the abnormal excitation on the diseased sides. However, sometimes, the sign of abnormal excitation on the healthy side may be observed also． I studied the 50 cases of migraine, frozen shoulder and sciatica, observing on what side of the body their symptoms were occurring, if the sign of excitation could be observed in their Ryodoraku chart, and with these results, I compared the data obtained with my 50 trainees with no such symptoms. I inform the results of this study as follows : As for migraine, the diseased parts of the majority of the cases were found in the left sides and as for other diseases like frozen shoulder and sciatica, the number of the cases where the diseased parts were found in the right sides was the same as that in the left side. The abnormal excitations on one of the sides of body among the patients of these diseases were found more frequently than among the trainees. Based on the observation, I presume that the diseases produce the abnormal excitation on the diseased sides as well as on the healthy sides. All of the above₋mentioned diseases showed pronouncedly the excitation on the right sides and inhibition on the left side. There are two kinds of treatment in Regulation therapy of autonomic nervous system with Ryodoraku, namely, the General Regulation Therapy (GRT) and Reactive Electro Conductive Points (RECP) . When these treatments don’t show the effects, the treatment of the healthy side in addition to the diseased side and that of the reactive electro conductive points of abnormal Ryodoraku to be found under the knee joints and cubital joints are recommended₂₎. Conclusion : It is necessary to treat not only the abnormal Ryodoraku but also the Ryodoraku opposite to the diseased side and the Ryodoraku with the noticeable differences in the measurement between right and left side.
