A 63-year-old patient with malignant melanoma of the vagina underwent tumor resection, followed by intraarterial chemotherapy and cryosurgery, resulting in successful control for more than 7years. Both intraarterial chemotherapy and cryosurgery were considered effective measures for treating malignant melanoma and further study is warranted. [Adv Obstet Gynecol 50 (6); 587-593, 1998 (H10.11)]
