    The authers investigated Management works in laying cage houses with four different types of structure. The four laying cage houses included Type A with handy instruments for the works of the feeding, the egg collecting and the manure removing, Type B with mobile feed carryer for the feeding and shovel-loader for manure removing, Type C with automatic feeder, automatic egg collector and automatic pit creaner, and Type D was a high floored house with automatic feeder.
    The time for all the managing works for 100 laying hens in a day by a worker were determined 400.1 secends for Type A, 261.1 seconds for Type B, 349.4 seconds for Type C and 144.6 seconds for Type D.
    Similary, the walking disiance for all the managing works for 100 laying hans were determined 111.2 meters for Type A, 69.1 meters for Type B, 36.7 meters for C, and 25.2 meters for Type C.
