In order to improve the transparency of pantyhose and to make women's legs appear more beautiful, the development and design of a new yarn and product were proposed.
A questionnaire survey on the transparency of pantyhose was conducted on women, and it became clear that they had great interest and strong opinions regarding the transparency of pantyhose depending on the color and thickness, and that they attached great importance to their own visual assessment of transparency when buying pantyhose.
The transmittivity of light on knitted fabric made from covered yarn was examined, and the relationship between the transmittivity of light and the twist level of covered yarn was discussed. It was found that the transmittivity of light was influenced by the twist level and the count of covered yarn, and by the thickness and color of knitted fabric. Therefore, it will be necessary to vary the twist level and count of covered yarn depending on the thickness and color of the pantyhose to be produced.
