We study the morphological charactearistics of Japanese adult female. The data are extracted from the anthropometric survey carried out by the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology in 1965-1972, 1978-1981 and 1992-1994. These data are referred to as the data of the 1 st measurement, the 2nd measurement and the 3rd measurment respectively. Conclusions are : (1) The averages of the 3rd measurement are larger than those of the nation-wide measurement (1978-1981) in stature, total posterior arm length, hip girth except 50's age (significant at less than 1% level) . (2) In the data of the 3rd measurement Rohler Index and Body Mass Index increase to 40's age and continue after that. (3) We have applied the method of the principal component analysis to the data of 30's age female. We consider that PC I is a size factor, PC2 is a stature and limb length factor, and PC3 is a size factor of lower body. The averages of PC2 score of the 3rd measurement are larger than others (significant at less than 1% level) .
