Many home furnishings are found with a label of house dust-mite proofing. A variety of voluntary evaluation methods for effectiveness of house dust-mite proofing are now available. However, no standard test method is still unknown all over the world, although comparative tests have already been conducted.
Japanese Conference for House Dust Mite Proofing Interior-products Technology Specialists has developed an evaluation method with the aim of quality control of house dustmite proofing products such as textile floor coverings, bedding and other home furnishings. In the development of an evaluation method, a discussion has been made of formulation of artificial diet to breed house dust mites and standardization of a degree of again. A repellency test and a reproduction control test method have been established by using test samples of house dust-mite proofed products. In conclusion, a repellency test method and a reproduction control test method, including the breeding procedure, the condition of breeding diet the number of mites for control, have successfully been standardized.

This paper aims to find guides for designing the pantyhose with comfortable support force on legs. An experiment for clarifying the comfortable and critical clothing pressure values on the thigh, calf and ankle was conducted using fifteen female students and twelve office workers as subjects. And the factors affecting those values were analyzed.
The results obtained are as follows.
    1) The mean values of the comfortable clothing pressure were 0.58kPa on the thigh, 0.97kPa on the calf, and 0.81kPa on the ankle.
    2) The mean values of the critical clothing pressure were 1.08kPa on the thigh, 1.85kPa on the calf, and 1.67kPa on the ankle.
    3) Standard deviations of the critical clothing pressure values were larger than those of the comfortable clothing pressure values, which was larger at a peripheral of leg.
    4) Twenties women whose weight is lighter, preferred the high clothing pressure on thigh sig-nificantly. Thirties-forties women whose Rohrer index is higher, and younger thirties-forties women preferred the high clothing pressure on the calf significantly.

The effects of pressing temperature, duration of pressing time and applied load on heat setting of the creased fabric in moist condition are examined and a mutual relationship among them is discussed in this paper.
The change in crease-recovery angle in terms of duration of treatment time shows three stages mentioned below. At first, the angle is large and very scattered, subsequently decreases suddenly within a short period of time and finally takes a constant to increase the time. In this wet heat setting, the existence of a“set point”also becomes clear as in the same manner as in the dry heat setting, which described in the previous paper.
In most cases, the temperature of the set point varies nearly in inverse proportion to the logarithm of the duration of pressing time, as is the same in the dry heat setting.
On the heat setting in adequate moist condition, the duration of setting time becomes short and the set angle is small, comparing with dry heat setting.

To clarify the difference in surface roughness property of the hose cloth of different types of pantyhose on the market in Japan, cylindrical model experiments and wearing experiments were conducted. Zokki, kohhen (SCY), kohhen (DCY), sheer, wooly, and conjugate types of pantyhose were used as samples. There was large difference in surface roughness between kohhen and other pantyhose, between wale and course directions, and between longitudinal and cross directions. These causes were considered from the view point of stitch form and measured surface roughness curves.
