According to the previous works, the effect of special primer coating prior to enameling was investigated. In the etch type primer for aluminium alloys, phosphoric acid is usually used as the active component, for the effective surface is prepared easily by phosphoric acid. As the special primer for aluminium alloys, We blended regularly chrome gelatin and phosphoric acid in emulsion-polymerized vinyl acetate vehicle on a trial produce. The best blending proportion of those is following; It is the one to blend from 25 to 100 parts of emulsionpolymerized vinyl acetate vehicle in what is put to 100 parts by adding water to 10 parts of gelatin, from 0.7 to 1.5 parts of potassium bichromate and from 1 to 2 parts of phosphoric acid.
This special primer showed a good tendency in comparision with the customary ones, and after drawing test, impact test and corrosion test gave a satisfactory result on practical uses.
