This report examines how the change of the negative pressure value and the positive pressure value of pipe pressure affects the drainage performance when the number of locations for installing air-admittance valves is increased. The main items to be examined are as follows: Understand the change of pipe pressure and air flow rate in relation to the change of the number of air admittance valves . Examine a workaround for the positive pressure which is important mainly for defining drainage performance and determine the threshold limit value of drainage performance. Propose and verify the piping model for prediction of drainage performance when multiple air-admittance valves are installed.

We experimented on the method to apply to opaque traps using the hydrograph by the seal-break-test, and obtained the result which this method was effective for the pipe traps, but it developed that we needed be improved for the partition traps more. And we examined the anti-pressure performance of Super Saving Water Type WC by this method.

The examples that WC's traps break super high-rise apartment houses are sporadic recently. It is hard to think the phenomenon of this seal break to have occurred because of only the induced siphonage based on an atmospheric pressure. We assumed that indoor pressure influenced this phenomenon and examined the influence by actual measurement.

A siphonic drainage system is a kind of slope-less drainage system using small diameter pipes. We examine a method to lay the sink of the kitchen by siphonic drainage. When we wash with running water, a problem that water stays on a trap occurs. Therefore we use the expansion air bag to solve the problems. As a result of experiment, we understand that this technique is effective and investigated the demanded performance of the bag.

A siphonic drainage system is a kind of slope-less drainage system using small diameter pipes. This paper verified drainage noise by the siphonic drainage system with a temporary tank combined with floor-preceding double-floor. The result showed that the noise of the siphonic system was larger than the conventional drainage system. The result also indicated a possibility of reducing the siphonic system's noise by preventing under-floor noise-propagation from its tank.

To design a temperature-stratified water TES tank of high performance, it is very important to decide the design of diffusers used as inlet and outlet, depth of water in the tank, flow rate, temperature of inlet, and so on. To establish the most suitable operation of water TES tank, it is beneficial to use CFD for evaluating the thermal storage performance. In this paper, it is aimed to validate CFD. The result of CFD calculation was compared with the experimental data, and it was found that the temperature profile obtained from the CFD calculation corresponds almost to the experimental date.

In order to verify the availability of power and heat supply system that uses the CHP, we carried out analyses on characteristics of energy demand and the ratio of heat to power.

To make CGS equipment plan, authors propose to make an exquisite simulation program, and to combine this with Particle swarm optimization. In this paper, CGS equipment plan of existing DHC is evaluated by using this technique. It is shown that the total error of a linear approximation is about ±5%. The effect of the part load performance of the equipment is shown. Efficiency changes most as the temperature of cooling water changes.
