This study aims to review the past research on the characteristics of expiratory particles and flow that carries the particles, with a special focus on different respiratory activities. Besides, the transmission patterns and exposure risks of expiratory particles are also reviewed.
This paper reports the results obtained by analysis about adhesion bacterial and fungus flora on the surface of an evaporation type humidifier element equipped in an air handling unit. 18 phyla and 154 genera of bacteria were detected about, and 2 phyla and 30 genera of fungi were detected.
It is supposed to wear protective clothing during construction work to reduce the amount of dust adhering the construction clothing. However, protective clothing increases clothing insulation, which makes worse thermal comfort for construction workers. In this study, it was reported that the results of total heat loss to evaluate thermal comfort. From the results, the total heat loss of wearing air conditioning clothing was 37.8 W/m^2 higher than that of protective clothing made of Nylon.
Ultra violet (UV) lamps are installed to air-conditioning systems to remove microbes. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between the sterilization effect and the location of UV lamp in two types of fun-coil units. The results of the numerical simulation show that the sterilization effect is improved by installing the lamp close to the high-velocity region.
The multi agent simulation was performed in order to find the effect of corridor width on passing gap of agents and thus the infection risk.The results showed three-meter of the corridor width had 70-% decreasing effect of infection from two-meter condition during walking period of agent.
