About two decades ago, in order to rationlize our enterprice at Kamiokamine we adopted differential oncrntration process for themilling, and have reorganized Qur Smelting equipments to meet to the products from the process. But the working of Lead gmelti11g (Roasting and Reducing smelting) was not go well and there were many problems to be solved. Those of which are
1. Reasonable treatment of most troublesome product-Fluedust.
2. Recovery of valuables in Secondary lead residue, etc.
Moreouer, Electric cell makers requested us earnestly higher grade Lead (over 99.99%Pb) at that time. So that for solving those problems following scheme and tests are carried out and made a remerkable technical advan6e in Lead smeltlng and refining, and established a decided guide for increased production of high qualfty Lead.
a. Adoption of round table Type Dwight-Lloydsintering machine (8m.dia)
b. Conparizon tests between Blast furnace and special Electric furnace (75→150K. V, A, Girodtype) sme1ting.
c. proposed a new process for the treatrqent of Flue dust and complete recovery of valuables in commereial operation.
d. Adoptioh of Harris process for the refining of crqde Lead.
e. Based on the experimental study of Betts' process, always considering the relative. connection among As, Sb and Bi, attaihed to produce high quality Lbad.
