In this talk I reported the work done in collaboration with Prof. Yamawaki. In the work we pointed that the Hidden Local Symmetry (HLS) for the vector mesons in QCD with smaller N_f plays the role of the "Higgsed magnetic gauge symmetry" for the Seiberg duality in SUSY QCD. For large N_f where the conformal phase transition with chiral restoration and deconfmement is expected to take place, we showed that the chiral symmetry restoration actually takes place by the dynamics of the HLS itself.

An indication of spontaneous symmetry breaking is found in the two-dimensional λφ^4 model, where attention is paid to the functional form of an effective action. An effective energy, which is an effective action for a static field, is obtained as a functional of the classical field from the ground state of the Hamiltonian H[J] interacting with a constant external field. The energy and wavefunction of the ground state are calculated in terms of DLCQ (Discretized Light-Cone Quantization) under antiperiodic boundary conditions. A field configuration that is physically meaningful is found as a solution of the quantum mechanical Euler-Lagrange equation in the J → O limit. It is shown that there exists a nonzero field configuration in the broken phase of Z_2 symmetry because of a boundary effect.

We present an update of our lattice NRQCD calculation of B_B. We also discuss a calculation of B_S, which is relevant to the width difference in the B_s-B^^-_s mixing.

The collapse of the rotating clouds is investigated using three-dimensional self-gravitating hydrodynamical simulations. We take into account of the detailed nonequilibrium chemical reactions for primordial gas that consists of pure hydrogen. The property of the collapse and condition of the fragmentation is compared with that of isothermal clouds. It is shown that the geometrical flatness of the central region of the disk is a good indicator to predict whether the clouds fragment or not. If the flatness is greater than the critical value 〜 4π, a cloud fragments into filaments and blobs. On the other hand, if the flatness is smaller than the critical value, the fragmentation is not expected before the central core formation even if the cooling is efficient and the total mass becomes much greater than the local Jeans mass at the center. For the primordial gas, the flatness is increasing function of the mass. The critical mass is found to be 3 × 10^6M_⊙. If the initial cloud mass is smaller than this critical value, fragmentation before the central core formation is not expected. For the typically estimated first collapsing cosmological baryonic object, M≲10^6M_⊙, the central core formation is expected and it will have a significant effect to the later evolution of the whole system.

Full radiative transfer in 3D space has been solved to pursue the reionization history in an inhomogeneous universe. It has been shown that the reionization of an inhomogeneous universe is not a prompt event, but a fairly slow process. Also, QSO absorption line systems are simulated with using the results of radiative transfer calculations. Lyα continuum depression (D_A) implies that the metagalactic UV intensity decreases rapidly with z at z>5, and the reionization must have taken place between z=6 and 10. Finally, it is stressed that Hα forest is a more powerful probe to explore the reionization history and the density fluctuations in the universe at z>5.
