K. Sassa and others of Kyoto University bad observed the tidal variation of strain of the earth by extensometers which K. Sassa devised at first, and obtained directly constant l, called Shida's number. M. Takada had observed the tidal variation of a vertical direction of the ground at Ide observatory. In this treatise, the tidal variations of the strains of vertical direction and three horizontal directions of the ground were observed at Osakayama observatory (Otsu), and then tidal components, M

v,
h and
l were computed as follows; C=0.49±0.11,
v=-0.37±0.05,
h=3
l+0.42±0.03.
