Information industry has been requiring universities to the cultivates capable human resources with designing and developing ability that will enable them to build software after analyzing and modeling the customers' needs, and with the adaptability and management ability to handle their role as a team member in a range of difficult situations. Since 2004 in Tokyo University of Technology, role-play training which can raise the level of acquired knowledge to the practical level has been carried out in lecture course of project management. In order to quantitatively know the project management skills obtained through the role-play training, the behavioral track records of each learner should be gathered during role-play. In order for a learner who has no practical experience for managing a project can arrive at correct solution through the correct orderly manner, when necessary appropriate advice or a hint should be required. We have developed the on-line role-play training environment which implements the software agent which monitors a behavior of each learner, when necessary provides an appropriate advice or a hint to learners. In addition we have developed rubrics to quantitatively measure the acquired skill levels. This paper describes an approach for project management education using role-play training over nine years from 2004 to 2012 and have a view project management education in the future.

Project Management is required to reach an appropriate decision under difficult condition. One way to make a project successful is an understanding the essence of past experiences. To develop a scheme for learning from the past experiences, it is important to accumulate valuable knowledge of organization and to develop an ability to use the knowledge. We think that ability to use the knowledge consist of ability to use knowledge to find the timing and ability to use its own context to replace the knowledge. A training using the case method is important to develop these abilities. In this paper, we propose the case method which includes development of teaching materials and instructional mode.

Today, there are a lot of people who have a considerable knowledge of project management and also have a specialized qualification such as PMP, however, those people do not always manage a project successfully at the practical works. We think project managers need to utilize their knowledge effectively on actual works and gain skills to manage project smoothly. Here we introduce the attempts to develop practical ability of project management by exploring "Job Shadowing" method.

To improve a strike rate of construction projects, we have been developing personnel training process of project managers. We have developed the method which evaluates characteristics of project managers quantitatively. This method has a basic data which consists of replies of about 200 items of questionnaire. It evaluates project manager's characteristics in some viewpoints (project experience, behavioral trait, knowledge, etc.). This method defines the target score of project management work, and by comparing project manager's characteristics with target score, it clarifies their strength and weak points for education. Furthermore, we will support the organization of project formation by evaluating a result of comparison.

The risk of projects to develop embedded systems has increased recently, because the size and complexity of the systems has increased. Accordingly the need for enhancing project management for system development projects has increased. In this paper, the authors report a case of development of a project management education system using e-learning introduced into a whole organization that mainly develops hardware and has several thousand employees.
