1) By the way of comparing the count of oral lactobacilli before and after the treatment of dental caries, the writer followed up the relation between dental caries and lactobacilli.
2) In comparison with the mean value of bacilli count before the treatment, the count of bacilli in the forth month after the treatment was smaller than the former in all school children and in 6 among 10 adult persons, while greater in the other 4 of them.
3) The cases that showed increment of bacilli count after the treatment were such as the cases with more than one carious tooth, newly developed carious teeth, amalgam filling, partial denture dressing after extraction of teeth (CIV)
4) It was recognized that the count of oral lactobacilli increased by denture dressing.
5) As for the relation between dental caries and lactobrcilli count which has been related by H. T. Dean, the above mentioned facts show that the cause and the result will be invers.
