I have been trying to approach the whole picture of what it is to be human, and what is difficult to grasp (experimental theory). From a broadly cosmic perspective, Ⅰ drew a three-layered structure in order to simply grasp the existence of human beings on the axis of time and space (Furusawa 2018).To put it simply, (1) cosmic/biological existence (the so-called objective world), (2) existence as a constituent of a human group (formation of a unique order, society, economy, politics, and culture), and (3) my existence as myself. It can be summed up as existence (a unique existence that lives in its own subjective world while sharing a joint subjective world).
I would like to illustrate the state of human existence that can be overlooked by this three-layer structure in an easy-to-understand manner, and use it as a clue to question what it means to be human. It is also important to consider the interrelationships of the three layers, especially the nodes.
In particular, I will discuss how to understand the Anthropocene epoch and the factors driving the evolutionary process of modern humans (Homo sapiens). Along with the significance of domestication (livestock/domestication) prior to cultural evolution, we consider the dynamism of complementary relationships inherent therein.
