ジャーナル フリーCarbon solids were prepared from ground green-petroleum coke powder without using any binder material.Green-petroleum coke powder was ground for various times from 15 min to 44 hr and was formed into cylindrical shape with diameter of 20 mm under a pressure of 2000 kg/cm2.Then the formed samples were heat-treated at 1000°C and then to the final temperature at 2700°C or 2800°C.
Some properties of the carbon solid thus obtained were investigated in relation to grinding time.Bulk density increased from 1.55 g/cm3 for 15 min-ground coke to 1.90 g/cm3 for 44 hr-ground and porosity also decreased from 23% to about 5%.Shore hardness, compressive strength and d (002) spacing of carbon solids increased with time.The carbon solid with Shore hardness of about 100, compressive strength of 1500 kg/cm2 and d (002) spacing of 3.39 Å was obtained from the powder ground for 44 hr.抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (7320K) -

ジャーナル フリーThe effect of copper phthalocyanine in pitch on nucleation and growth processes of mesophase was investigated from the behavior of copper.Quinoline soluble coal-tar pitch with copper phthalocyanine was heat-treated at 430°C for a certain period.The heat-treated pitch was fractionated quinoline insoluble part (QI) by solvent extraction with quinoline.QI was treated with HC1.Copper contents in those fractions were measured.The obtained results as follows.
A part of copper phthalocyanine added into pitch reacted with sulfur compounds in the pitch at temperature under 430°C and changed into the fine crystals of copper sulfide, which covered the surface of mesophase spherules formed in the pitch.The rest of copper phthalocyanine was present in pitch as state of crystal and molecule.When mesophase spherules formed in pitch, the copper phthalocyanine crystal was not recognized in the pitch and the copper phthalocyanine molecule existed not only in the pitch but also with in the mesophase.Amount of mesophase formation in pitch with copper phthalocyanine was larger than that in the pitch free from copper phthalocyanine.
From these results, it is considered that the copper in copper phthalocyanine accelerate the mesophase nucleation but copper sulfide prevent the growth of mesophase.And copper phthalocyanine crystal and molecule have not effect on the nucleation and growth of mesophase .抄録全体を表示PDF形式でダウンロード (5987K) -
