The LNG secondary pumps in LNG regasification terminal used to be cooled down by arranging temporary pipe system and controlling its valves manually and discontinuously based on experience of the operators. However, this processes increased variation of operations quality and a risk of LNG leakage due to repetitive thermal stress on the temporary pipe system. In order to solve these problems, an orifice is attached in the temporary pipe system, diameter of which is set for cooling down continuously without manually controlling the valves. This improvement was confirmed to be effective and contribute to safer operations by the verification test
