The incidence of skin diseases among 685 Japanese immigrants in 23 colonies of South-and Middle-America, namely, Bolivia, Argentina. Paraguay, Brasil and Dominican Republic were examined. In becterial and fungal infections, the incidene was different in each colony. To compare them with that of Japan. U. S. A. and England, the former was higher than the latter. This fact suggested that its incidence indicated social and hygienic conditions of the communities.
