A subject with metal hypersensitivity is known to develop contact dermatitis particularly in summer, by wearing an ordinary wrist watch that contains Ni, Co, Cr etc. Clinical provocation test with our Allergen Controlled Wrist Watch of which band and case were made of pure titanium was performed with 13 patients with known history of contact dermatitis to ordinary wrist watchs. Each subject tolerated well a 4-month clinical trial in summer and remained asymptomatic, indicating that titanium must be one of the most hyperallergic metals.
MONOS memory is usefull EEPROM with low programming voltage of 9V and high endurance to Write/Erase cycles. These advantage are quite suitable to watch application because of low power operation and high reliability. In this paper, we describe a high accuracy watch LSI using the MONOS memory to store temperature compensation data of the quartz crystal oscillator. Wide operating temperature range from -20 to +70℃ and compensated temperature range from +5 to 40℃ have been realized in the small chip size of 3.63mm × 1.70mm.
This paper reports the study results on the performance of AGS(Automatic Generating System)watch which has a small dynamo driven by the motion of arms. The total performance of AGS represents the balance of power between generation by dynamo and consumption to drive watch mechanism. In order to improve the performance, therefore, it is essential to study both the means to increase generated power and to reduce power consumption. We accomplished to improve AGS performance basing on our simulation, experiment, and analysis.
