Four Parameters (index torque amplitude, force factor, internal resistance and inductance of the stator coil) of the step motor are taken up, and the dependence of these parameters on the step motion are stated in the first part of this paper. Above four parameters, however, are not practically independent with each other. Therefore, three new independent parameters (magnetic moment of the rotor magnet, number of turns of the stator coil, and permeance of the magnetic circuit) of the step motor are introdued instead of old four parameters in the last part of this paper. The influences of the new parameters for the power consumpsion of the motor and the stability of the step motion are shown by the motion map obtained from calculation using the relation among the new parameters and the old ones.
