A jet ignition method by hydrogen flame jet is proposed to control the combustion of lean mixtures. Hydrogen flame jet is supplied from the cavity whose volume is less than one percent of the main chamber volume through the nozzle. It is worried that the heat loss of the jet ignition method becomes bigger than that of conventional ignition, because this method creates fast and high temperature flame jet. Especially at the nozzle, the heat loss might become bigger than other place. So the heat flux at the nozzle wasmeasured, and the relation between the jet velocity or flame temperature and heat flux were shown. The faster the flame jet is, the bigger the heat flux at the nozzle is. And the heat flux increases with the temperature of the jet. On the other hand, the total heat loss at the nozzle increases with the jet temperature, but the effect of the jet velocity on the heat loss is not so big.

We have tried the improvements about leadership education of students. Especially, for the students kept in laboratory, the good effect of the presentation and communication ability using science classes or social event at outside of school and RoboCup will be expected. In this paper, we describe what kind of effect will be brought for students when the science classes at outside of school and technical presentation in RoboCup are performed.

This paper reports on the practice to control electronic circuit by C language programming, for the purpose of confirming the usefulness of programming technique studied in lower grades of information and computer engineering course. It is expected that the programming practice to take hardware into consideration supports to acquire essential knowledge and experience for design of large-scale computer systems in future.

A stiffening Method of existing cylindrical steel piers is studied by experimental ways. On the experimental way steel piers are stiffened by contact ribs on it. On the Stiffening structures are set using the plates and local buckling points created forcibly on the pier. The part of the pier which yields local buckling is controlled in base zone of it by this Stiffening structures and the ductility of the piers are improved with small increase the ultimate strength of it. We have been able to improve the ductility of piers by the Stiffening structure.

In this study, we discuss in order to aim at the increase in further Obara Sakura Bus (Area demand-active bus system) user by improvement of service tool, for example the telephone reservation system, the new information communication technology. Those problems are clarified from the hearing to the persons concerned about the telephone reservation and the questionnaire for residents which is the evaluation about the present Bus use, and the feature of a demand- activate bus.

In order to investigate the dynamic characteristics and the seismic diagnosis values of 2-storied wooden houses which were built before 1981, horizontal oscillating tests have been carried out using small-sized vibration generator in Minamichita Town, Aichi Prefecture. As a result of 25 houses of experiments, the natural frequency of the houses becomes lower when the ratio of the wall is smaller and the weight of the roof is heaver in case of full 2-storied type. And the torsional vibration amplitude from horizontal oscillating tests properly corresponds to the eccentricity of the house especially in case of ridge direction.

Integrated meteorological observation device was newly established by Toyota National College of Technology in 1996. And, 24 hour of weather element continuous measurement became possible. This report is a report when annual to the observation from January, 1997 to December, 2012. The observation results were compared with an existing research result by the value of the common year of Toyota City.

Rigid folor assumption is widely used in Japanese structural design. But the roof of a gymnasium is not rigid against their storey stiffness. In addition, the roof of a gymnasium is at grade and has a long span. So a gymnasium has another dynamic characteristic against normal buildings. Its characters are the up down mode of its roof and close natural frequencies. I report the natural frequencies of retrofitted gymnasium and their damping ratios. As a result, the natural frequencies are different at each observation point. And the damping ratios are also different at each observation point, but they are between 1% and 2%.

Phraseology is the study of fixed expressions, such as collocations, idioms, composite predicates, phrasal verbs, and other types of multi-word lexical bundles. In this paper, we examine the previous study conducted by Minoji Akimoto (1983). Akimoto classifies 262 verb and noun phrases (VN Phrases) into 40 groups according to eight grammatical parameters. We use the parameter of 'word origin' to classify 251 VN Phrases into four groups, 50% of which are Germanic verb + Germanic noun phrase, followed by Germanic verb + french-origin noun phrase (32%), french-origin verb + french-origin noun phrases (9%) and french-origin verb + Germanic noun phrase (9%). We have the findings that Germanic verb + Germanic noun phrases are highly idiomatic from the point of view of idiomaticity, while Germanic verb + french-origin noun phrases are the least idiomatic among four groups.
