JOURNAL FREE ACCESSThis series of studies is concerned with analyzing energy consumption of the dyeing process using tremendous amounts of water. As well as amount of fabric treated, water temperature is also one of the most important factors in energy consumption. In Part 1, the influence of river water temperature fluctuation on steam consumption in the bleaching section of the dyeing process is quantitatively analyzed by an enthalpy conservation model based on a time series of actual operating data. This model-based analysis that a 1°C decrease in water temperature causes a 1.5 1.6 % increase in energy basic unit, and that a 1 ton decrease in product causes a 0.6-0.7 % increase in energy basic unit.View full abstractDownload PDF (773K) -
