The carpets were investigated from the view point of kinesiological analysis of human walking. Nine young female subjects were asked to walk on Nylon loop, Wool cut and Nylon Shagge carpets fixed on the force plate five times naturally.
Walking tests on a rubber mat and without carpet were performed as controls.
The partial forces given to the force plate during walking were recorded and the F-test was applied on the near values.
No significant difference of the force plate data was shown among the carpets including controls, except X-turning time. It is concluded that the carpets do not change the kinesilolgical (foot-force) characteristics of human salking.
