In this paper, the eye movement during the visual evaluation about the image of clothes was measured by using the Eye Mark Recorder. For this purpose, it was discussed to obtain the appropriate measure to explain to eye movement and to clarify the effect of some questions and photographs on the measure obtained obove. The main results were as follows :
(1) The most appropriate measure to explain the eye movement was “total duration of fixation (TDF) ”.
(2) The relation between question and sample was found as follows.
(1) The difference of TDF between two questions had the linear relation with the image of sample.
(2) It took the long TDF when the image of sample coincided with the meaning of question.
(3) The question “sporty” took longer TDF than the question “elegant”. It meant that the former question took longer time for evaluating than the latter.
