In this research, we investigated the effect of weaving parameters on the woven fabric surface using image analysis and Fourier transform. Based on the characteristic of cloth movement during weaving, the standard deviation from the moving displacement difference of the experiment values estimated by the image analysis and the values calculated by the take-up speed of the loom was defined as the cloth fell fluctuation. In the Fourier power spectrum, the half width of the peak and the area of peak were proposed as evaluation parameters for quantifying reed mark behavior. We investigated the effect of processing parameters on the reed mark behavior. We also investigated the relationship between the cloth fell fluctuation and reed mark behavior with theoretical interpretation in terms of cloth structure formation process.
