We have developed a 2/3-inch 1.3M-pixel full-frame readout VT-CCD (Vacancy Transfer CCD) image sensor for digital still cameras. We have also completed a portable SLR-type digital still camera using this CCD image sensor. We can obtain as much image quality and resolution as in conventional photoprint.

We have developed the VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval) decoder system which can extract universaily various VBI data and inforamtion. Our system consists of a programable data slicer chip (C-MOS 32pin QFP) and a micro processor, and costs low price. We have developed the application softwave at ease with simple algorithm and will be able to deal with new formats of VBI data immadiataly.

This paper shows several techniques to improve the performance of the correlation processing in decoding EDTV-II signal. EDTV-II system controls the amplitude of VT/VH signal according to the correlation between main panel signal and VT/VH signal. The conventional correlation detection does not always work correctly when the horizontal edge moves horizontally. The wrong detection increases the noise.

SVHS digital signal processing VTR system decoding 2nd generation EDTV (EDTV-II) has been developed. This system consists of 4 LSIs, luminance signal processor, chrominance singal processor, apalog interface LSI, and EDTV-II signal processor. EDTV-II signal processor contarins 3-dimensional YC separator/noise reducer, Horizontal-High (HH) component decoder, and identity signal detector. In this paper, the system constitution and signal processing algorithm of HH decoder and identity signal detector are described.

Since progress of Semiconductor technology realized high integration and lower cost of LSI, recent Home VCR contains a lot of Digital LSI and large capacity memory. Especially, 3 Dimension digital signal process technology , which conducts time base operation process, has drastically improved, various methods of 3 dimension Y/C separation technology is proposed for improving picture quality. In this report, we will describe details of high picture technology for " HV-V900L", our latest BS built-in S-VHS machine released in October 1995,which utilized 3 dimension digital signal process technology effectively.

We have developed the high speed times visual search technology for VCR. This Technology gives understandable playback while high speed winding up. We have introduced three elements technology so as to give the fine video signal.(a) a fixed tape speed control (b) a relative speed control of head and tape (c) a time base correction of video-signal

We developed a new system, non-integral speed playback VCR. By this system, variable speeds with synchronizing scene and sounds can be realized. The system is realized by three technologies, that is : (1) capstan phase control in non-integral speed playback (2) vertical dancing compensation on TV (3) key control technique

We developed new signal processing LSIs for Consumer Use Digital VCR. With these LSIs, we realize full-feature and high reliability. Futhermore, we developed digital interface system based on IEEE1394 which preserves high quarity through digital dubbing. This paper presents compression LSIs and data detection LSIs which work on Digital VCR.

We developed and commercialized digital video camera "DIGI CAM NV-DJ1" which was based on the consummer digital VCR standard (the SD standard). As a key technology for realization, in the VTR block, it developed each LSI, in case of LSI development, it introduced a 0.5-μm process and it realized the inner operation voltage of 2.0 V. Also, in the camera block, it developed the system which can correspond to the clock rate (13.5MHz) of the digital VCR standard in the simple form.
