Experiments have been carried out to investigate the combustion characteristics of Plastic Fuels in the very high temperature environments. The range of ambient temperature is from 873K to 1673K. The fuels used for the study are polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). For PE and PP, the combustion process is classified into two categories, that is, ignition delay, flaming duration (luminous diffusion flame). And for PVC can be divided into three sequential periods, that is, ignition delay, flaming duration (luminous diffusion flame) and char combustion period. The activation energies obtained by Arrhenius type are 28kJ/mol for PE, 42kJ/mol for PP and 68kJ/mol for PVC.
