This paper starts with the introduction about the history and the outline of the CSR activities in Canon group to which I belong. Corporate philosophy of Canon is vNkyoseu. Our CSR is based on this Corporate philosophy. Then it proceeds to introduce our approach, to promote CSR activities in the domestic sales group, for instance, environment-related issues, information security, a work-life balance, internal control, CSR procurement. Next, I refer to the development of CSR mind through the education, to which we are placing an importance. Final part introduces the practice cases with the compliance thought that we especially regard as bases of the CSR activities. Through these activities and experiences, I would suggest the necessity of establishing new CSR evaluation system from the anxiety about appropriateness and the validity of the current evaluation system.
