     現在、我が国のスポーツ指導は、指導の資格化を始めとした専門性を高める動きの中にある。大学においても学生のスポーツ指導者としての資質能力を向上させていくことが求められる。その文脈下において、大学生がスポーツ指導者についてどのような理想像を、どのような経緯で保持するようになるのかについて理解を深めることは、今後のスポーツ指導者育成において意義のあるものであると考える。そこで本研究では、大学生が保持するスポーツ指導者観とその形成要因を明らかにすることを目的とした。対象者は、K医療福祉大学健康スポーツコミュニケーション学科3年生66名である。データの収集方法として、山崎(2007)や嘉数(2013)が作成した質問紙を参考に、理想とするスポーツ指導者とその理由を自由記述式で尋ねた。データの分析は、文書化したデータに対してKJ法を行い、理想とするスポーツ指導者像とその形成要因をそれぞれ概念化した。結果として、大学生が保持していたスポーツ指導者像の特徴として、技術指導などのスポーツの指導がうまいこと、子供との信頼関係を築くことや指導の平等性を重要視することなどが挙げられた。詳細については学会にて報告する。

    A good physical understanding is essential in order to provide an accurate estimation of the dynamic wind loads required for the optimal mechanical design to improve the performance of wind turbines.While a number of studies have been conducted in the recent years to investigate wind turbine wake aerodynamics,very few experimental investigations can be found in literature to provide detailed field measurements.The objective of this research is to develop stereoscopic PIV system for large-scale industrial wind tunnels and to apply the system to unsteady flowfields of Magnus wind turbines with spiral fins.

    In order to clarity the aerodynamic properties and performance of Magnus wind turbines with spiral fins, numerical simulation were conducted. The power coefficient of the wind turbine depends on the velocity of the spanwaise flow around cylinders which induced spiral fins on the surface of the cylinders. The maximum power coefficient of the turbine can be obtained at the spanwise flow velocities are almost the half of the uniform velocity. In the case of the field experiments of the Magnus wind turbines, spiral fins generate the internal flow around cylinders. The numerical simulation has same tendency of the field experiments. The result seems to be the axial flow velocities play an important role in estimation and improvement of the performance of the Magnus wind turbines.

    Although a change in running direction is one of the most important skills for ball game players, there is little information on the techniques involved, and the criteria used for technical evaluation. The purposes of this study were to develop indices for evaluating the techniques involved in changing the direction of running (i.e. cutting motion), and to compare the motions used by skilled and less-skilled groups to gain insight into the cutting motion technique. Twenty male university players of several ball games participated as subjects. They performed three kinds of 30-m zigzag runs with directional changes in angle of 30, 60 and 90 degrees, using the side-step and cross-step techniques. Their motions were videotaped with two digital video cameras operating at 60 Hz for three-dimensional motion analysis. The running time was measured by an electric timing device with photocell sensors. The velocity of the center of gravity (CG), angle of direction change, and angles of shank inward lean and thigh were calculated. We developed a cutting motion index that was calculated from the distance between the CG positions before and after cutting, the horizontal velocity of the CG at the beginning of cutting, and the elapsed time during cutting. The index gives a ratio of the time estimated from the horizontal velocity of the CG at the beginning of cutting relative to the actual elapsed time.
    The major results are summarized as follows:
    1) For zigzag runs except for a 60-degree change in direction in the cross-step technique, there was no significant relationship between the cutting motion index and the angle of direction change.
    2) In the side-step technique, the acceleration of the CG, the extension of the knee and hip joints, and the maximal forward lean angular velocity of the thigh in the second support phase were larger in the skilled group than in the less-skilled group.
    3) In the cross-step technique, the deceleration of the CG and the flexion of the knee joint were smaller, but the acceleration of the CG and the maximal forward lean angular velocity of the thigh in the second support phase were larger in the skilled group than in the less-skilled group.
    These results indicate that the technique used to maintain running speed can be evaluated by the cutting motion index, and that the angle of direction change can be used as an index of direction change for the cutting motion. In the side- and cross-step techniques, a fast forward lean of the support thigh in the second support phase is likely to be an effective motion for maintaining the speed of the CG. In the side-step technique, extension of the knee joint in the support phase increases the forward lean angular velocity of the thigh. A fast forward lean of the support leg is effective in the cross-step technique.

    The development of wind power generation from large wind turbines has shown excellent profitability, however, large wind turbines must be built in locations away from residential area, from the point of view of the landscape and noise. Wind power generation also requires that wind conditions be good and the site be near an electric power-consuming region. A Magnus wind turbine which uses a rotating cylinder as a substitution for the blade of a common wind turbine. The Magnus wind turbine is compact, resistant to wind pulsation and can be installed in residential areas. The purpose of this study is to optimize the shape of the straight fin attached to a rotating cylinder by using genetic algorithms and CFD, in order to improve lift-to-drag(L/D)ratio under the low rotating speed conditions. The validity of the CFD is confirmed by comparing the results in a wind tunnel experiment. The proposed new straight fin attains the lift enhancement and the drag reduction in contrast to the original straight fin at low rotating speed of the cylinder.

    In order to clarify the mechanism of lift enhancement for a spiral Magnus windmill, wind tunnel experiments were carried out by using a rotating cylinder with fins. Spiral Magnus is a unique wind turbine system that rotates with cylinders which have spiral-shaped fins coiled around them instead of the usual propeller-like blades, and the spiral Magnus windmill shows high power generation performance. However, its mechanism has not been fully elucidated. In the present study, three models (cylinder with no fins, straight fins and spiral fins) were installed, and fluid force measurements were performed by a strain gauge force balance. The PIV system was also used to better understand the flow fields around the cylinder.

    本研究では,大学新入生を対象に大学体育実技授業を通してどのような気づきや変化があるかを検討することである。対象者は,「レクリエーション実習」を受講している大学新入生である。授業の初回と最終回に質問紙調査を実施し,分析をおこなった。その結果,ライフスキル尺度を構成する目標設定因子と適応感尺度に授業前後で得点が有意に向上した。また,学生の課題を分析し分類したところ,ライフスキル獲得につながる要因を得ることができた。

    In order to clarify an aerodynamic performance of Magnus wind turbines with spiral fins, wind tunnel experiments and numerical simulations were conducted. The results show that the ratio of lift and drag, L/D, depends on the rotational ratio of η. The maximum L/D of the rotational cylinder with spiral fins was obtained at lower η than that of the cylinder without spiral fins. Therefore, the power for the cylinder rotation can be reduced with the spiral fins. The effective performance was provided at the fins angles around 35 degrees. The simulation results showed the spanwise flow can be observed on the surface of the spiral fins. The power coefficient of the Magnus wind turbines depends on the spanwise velocity on the surface. It revealed that the control of the spanwise flow with spiral fins play an important role in the performance of Magnus wind turbines

    本研究では,体育系学科に属する大学生を対象として大学での水泳授業実施前の水泳に対する好き嫌いと得意不得意の度合い,授業実施前と7回の授業実施後のクロール,背泳ぎおよび平泳ぎ50m全力泳の泳記録を調査し,それらの関係について検討した.その結果,本研究の被験者は水泳に対する好き嫌いについて偏向した感情を有していないが,全体として泳能力が低く,水泳をやや不得意に感じていた.また,小学校から高等学校にかけて獲得された泳能力が優れているほど水泳をより得意と感じ,水泳がより好きであることが明らかとなった.加えて体育系大学生に対する水泳授業においては,泳記録や泳距離の向上を目指し,各泳法の基本技能を確実に習得させ,十分な量の泳距離を確保した授業を行えば,高等学校までに獲得された泳能力が低くても泳能力を改善することが可能であることが示唆された.

    本研究の目的は,(a) 集団種目グループ学習,個人種目グループ学習,多種目一斉学習という3種類の大学体育実技授業の実施前後のライフスキルの獲得状況を調べること,(b) 授業実施後のライフスキルの変化について検討することであった.前述の学習形態の体育実技授業を受講している103名の大学生を対象に,授業の実施前後に日常生活でのスキル(すなわちライフスキル)およびスポーツ場面でのスキル(以下,スポーツ状況スキルと呼ぶ)について質問紙法による調査を行った.授業実施前後とも,全ての学習形態のスポーツ状況スキルの合計得点は同等であったのに対して,多種目一斉学習型の日常生活スキルの合計得点は他の学習形態よりも高かった.授業実施後の下位スキルのうち,多種目一斉学習型のスポーツ状況での創造的思考のみが向上したのに対して,いくつかのスポーツ状況での下位スキルは低下した.よって,授業実施によって生じたスポーツ状況スキルの変化は,学習形態間の日常生活スキルとスポーツ状況スキルの全体的な傾向に影響しなかった.加えて,スポーツ状況スキルの合計得点は,日常生活スキルの合計得点およびスポーツ経験の量と正の相関関係があったが,日常生活スキルの合計得点とスポーツ経験の量との間に相関関係はなかった.これらの結果は,より多いスポーツ経験がスポーツ状況スキルを高めるが,直接的にはライフスキルを向上しないであろうことを示唆している.したがって,ライフスキルを効果的に高めるためには,体育実技授業のスポーツ経験から引き起こされたスポーツ状況スキルの変化を般化させる授業担当者による働きかけが必要であると思われる.

    This research was undertaken in order to apply the Leadership Scale for Sports created by Chelladurai et al. (1980) to compare Japanese leaders with Korean and Italian leaders to clarify the characteristics of Japanese leaders. The Leadership Scale for Sports, created by Chelladurai et al. (1980), consists of five factors, “Training and Instruction,” “Autocratic Behavior,” “Democratic Behavior,” “Social Support,” and “Positive Feedback” (40 items), as variables that can be measured to evaluate the behavior of leaders in sports. The survey was conducted using questionnaire items translated into the native languages of the participants. The participants were all university students: 833 individuals who had experience with Japanese leaders, 262 who had experience wit Korean leaders, and 139 who had experience with Italian leaders. The results of the survey clarified the following three characteristics of Japanese leaders.

    1. The “Training and Instruction” factor was more evident than in other countries.

    2. The relationship between the “Positive Feedback” factor and the “Training and Instruction” factor was weaker than in other countries.

    3. The relationship between the “Democratic Behavior” factor and the “Training and Instruction” factor was stronger than in other countries.

    本研究は,方向転換走と直線走および垂直跳びの関係について,相関分析および重回帰分析を用いて検討することを目的とした.対象者は,2005年から2010年の期間に所属していた大学男子サッカー選手175名とした.研究期間のうち,方向転換走は2年ごとに異なるテストを実施した.また,直線走および垂直跳びは全ての期間中,共通の測定項目として実施した.測定項目の記録について相関分析を行ったところ,各方向転換走は全ての測定項目との間に有意な相関関係を認めた.また,ステップワイズ法を用いた重回帰分析を行った結果,各方向転換走に関係する要素として,それぞれ異なる項目の標準偏回帰係数に有意性が認められた.以上のことから,方向転換走には直線走および垂直跳びが関係する一方で,方向転換走の種類によりパフォーマンスに影響する個別の要素が存在すると示唆された.

    Purpose: A more detailed understanding of the effects of soccer coaching by a Japan football association (JFA) official kids’ leader on exercise intensity in preschool children during small-sided soccer games may increase the prevalence of soccer coaching in early childhood and contribute to more effective coaching methods. Therefore, the present study investigated the effects of soccer coaching by a JFA official kids’ leader on heart rate (HR) responses in preschool children during small-sided soccer games and compared them to those by a childminder. Methods: Ten preschool boys (mean±S.D. age: 71.1±6.5 months, height: 112.5±4.1 cm, body weight: 20.0±1.8 kg) participated in soccer coaching by a JFA official kids’ leader (KL trial) and childminder (C trial). Data were collected from small-sided soccer games (7 min). HR was recorded every 1 sec during small-sided soccer games using short-range telemetry HR monitor systems. The activity profiles of subjects were assessed using global position system technology (GPS). Results: Mean HR values were significantly (P < 0.05) higher in the KL trail than in the C trial. Furthermore, mean movement distances were significantly (P < 0.05) higher in the KL trail than in the C trial. Mean movement distances positively correlated with mean HR (P < 0.05, r = 0.966). Conclusions: The present results demonstrated that soccer coaching by a JFA official kids’ leader increased the HR and movement distance of preschool children, and provide novel insights into high-intensity exercise in preschool children.

    This study aims to reveal the effect on motion and ground reaction force of presence of selective reaction in changing direction while running. The participants were instructed to make directional changes on a force plate on two conditions (With an advance instructions, or without). The motion was then studied by using three-dimensional motion analysis and force plate data. According to the results, the average value of all subjects had no significant trend. On the other hand, there are individual differences in the effect of giving instruction before trial Thus, that made difficult to see a clear trend in all subjects by these variations affect each other.

    目的:本研究の第一の目的は,大学新入生におけるライフスキル獲得水準の性別および専攻別の特徴を明らかにすることであった。第二の目的は,その結果を踏まえてより良い体育授業の設計を展望することであった。

    方法:筑波大学の2015年秋学期開講必修科目「基礎体育」を履修した1,325名(男子745,女子580)を対象に,日常生活スキル尺度(島本・石井,2006)によるライフスキル調査を行った。この尺度は,対人スキル(親和性,リーダーシップ,感受性,対人マナー)と個人的スキル(計画性,自尊心,情報要約力,前向きな思考)の下位概念(下位因子)から構成される。ライフスキルの下位概念(下位因子)の各得点を,性×専攻の2要因分散分析によって解析した。

    結果:対人スキルは男子よりも女子が有意に高く,それは親和性と感受性の高さによるものであった。専攻別の特徴として,対人スキルと個人的スキルともに,社会・国際学を専攻する学生が最も高く,情報学を専攻する学生が最も低かった。これは,親和性とリーダーシップ,計画性の差異によるものであった。

    結論:大学新入生のライフスキルは,性別と専攻別でそれぞれ特徴のあることが明らかになった。これらを踏まえて,大学新入生へのより良い体育授業の設計を展望した。

     The present study was conducted to clarify the body composition and physical characteristics of elite high school female handball players, and to compare those variables between starters and nonstarters in a team. Seventeen elite high school female handball players without a goalkeeper volunteered for the study. Body composition, height and body mass were measured. Physical characteristics investigated included grip strength, 20-m sprint time, pro-agility time, jump ability, sitting handball throw and Yo-Yo intermitted test. As jump ability parameters, data on counter movement jump (CMJ) height, rebound jump index (RJ index) and standing broad jump distance were collected. The characteristics of the study subjects overall were as follows: height 159.3±5.9 cm, body mass 55.0±4.2 kg, grip strength 29.4±3.7 kg, 20-m sprint time 3.42±0.12 s, pro-agility time 5.13±0.18 s, CMJ height 31.0±3.7 cm, RJ index 1.547±0.222, standing broad jump distance 1.97±0.16, handball throw 15.8±2.0 m, yo-yo intermitted test 3075±547.3 m. Comparison of the 2 groups showed that starters were significantly superior to nonstarters in terms of the RJ index and yo-yo intermitted test. However, the 20-m sprint time and pro-agility time of nonstarters were significantly higher than those of starters. These data would be valuable for identifying talented female handball players.

        This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of experiences in athletic club and life skills of college baseball club members with national level competitive abilities. First, with regard to experiences in athletic club and life skills, we conducted the characteristics of the entire subjects in this study. Subsequently, we examined the differences in experiences and life skills based on differences in competitive abilities. We also analyzed the relation of athletic club experiences on life skills. We conducted a questionnaire survey that targeted 379 members of college baseball clubs, and analyzed the data of 301 members. As a result, college baseball club members generally scored high on support from others for sports club activities and etiquette and manners for life skills. On the other hand, the score of setting goals for life skills was low. The roster players who are registered as members in the official game tended to have higher scores for self-disclosure than the backup players. Furthermore, the roster players also scored higher on life skills, setting goals, thinking carefully, being humble, and maintaining physical health and well-being. Finally, while experiences in relation to support from others as well as effort and endurance had a positive influence on many life skills, the experience of daily life guidance from leaders had a negative influence on some life skills.

     In order to provide effective career education support for university athletes, it is necessary to accumulate fundamental knowledge about their acquisition of life skills. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the influence of life skills on career maturity as a judo player in university student judo players.
     In June 2016, a survey of 510 university judo players (male: 408, female: 102, mean age: 19.70 ± 1.28years, mean period of experience: 12.37 ± 5.70years) was conducted using the Appraisal Scale of Required Life Skills for College Student Athletes (Shimamoto et al., 2013). This scale evaluates the life skills required by athletes using 10 dimensions (stress management, setting goals, thinking carefully, appreciating others, communicating, maintaining etiquette and manners, always making one’s best effort, taking responsibility for one’s own behavior, being humble, and maintaining physical health and well-being). In addition, the Life Career Maturity Scale (Sakayanagi, 1999) was used to evaluate the students’ life career interest, autonomy, and planning ability. An analysis focusing on the students’ sex and the presence or absence of experienced registration of certified athletes in the All Japan Judo Federation was also conducted.
     First, factor analysis was conducted to classify the life skills into 4 aspects “self-control skills”, “goal achievement skills”, “communication skills”, and “problem solving skills” and it was shown that reliability and validity were generally satisfactory.
     Next, the influence of life skills on the 4 aspects on carrier maturity was examined by structural equation modeling. This showed that goal achievement skills had a significant positive influence on both male and female career maturity. Similarly, self-control skills and goal achievement skills had a significant positive influence on career maturity in common with the presence or absence of having been registered as a certified athlete in the All Japan Judo Federation. Based on the above results, it was suggested that acquisition of self-control skills and goal achievement skills is necessary to raise the level of career maturity in university student judo players.
     Therefore, it is considered important to offer educational support for university students judo players using acquisition of both these skills.

    In the suburbs of big cities the population is mounting rapidly. The growth of the population that makes use of the railway station nearby has increased the commercial value of the front area of the railway station and the big stores and other central functions have been located there. As a result most suburban cities have an tendency to change their city structure, that is, to move their core function from their old CBD to the front area of the railway station. This shifting of the core including the shifting of commercial areas has caused changes in purchasing behavior of suburban consumers.
    The author took Kusatsu City, 18km. from the CBD of Kyoto City, for example, and observed changes in purchasing behavior as follows.
    (1) In the front area of Kusatsu Station of JNR three big stores (discount stores) were located and there occurred new accumulation of commerce around them. As a result the commercial center of Kusatsu moved from Honmachi area, the historical center, to the front area of Kusatsu Station. This movement influenced not only traffic system but also the whole urban structure. The location of the big stores improved commercial function of Kusatsu City and the trade area of Kusatsu City was expanded accordingly.
    (2) For the purchase of daily goods, consumers in Kusatsu usually go to the big stores and other smaller stores within Kusatsu. About the purchase of quality clothing and gifts, however, there are two groups of people: one group buys in Kusatsu and the other group goes to the department stores in Kyoto. It can be said that the former group has an inclination to discount stores and the latter to department stores among big stores.
    (3) Those who live in the suburbs are usually said to have a strong inclination to the department stores in the neighboring core city. The people in Kusatsu also have a strong inclination to the department stores in Kyoto and their mental inclination to them is beyond their actual purchased one in Kyoto. However, the substance of the inclination has been changed since the opening of the big stores in Kusatsu and Kusatsu's becoming a commuting town.
    (4) The shorter one's living history in Kusatsu is, the stronger one's inclination to department stores is. On the one hand those who had moved from Kyoto or Osaka and those who had been posted to Kyoto or Osaka have more inclination to department stores. On the other hand among the people with long living history in Kusatsu including those who are occupied with agriculture, forestry or fishery, the percentage of the people who make all purchases at the central commercial district in Kusatsu is high. In the past, though, not a few of them had an inclination to department stores. Their inclination has been changed to discount stores by the opening of the big stores (discount stores) in their neighborhood. In other words the substantial influence of the opening of the big stores on the people in Kusatsu differs among individuals according to the differences in life zone and life-style.
    (5) Under the increase of the residents moved from other areas including Kyoto and the opening of the big stores, which resulte from Kusatsu's becoming a commuting town, purchasing behavior of the people in Kusatsu is coming to show differentiation in two ways: one has an inclination to department stores and the other to discount stores. With the opening of big stores as a turning point commercial districts in a commuting town are coming to be complicated and varied in structure and function.
