ラットの視床下部内側視索前野 (POA) ニューロンの細胞録を行なう目的で三角波による微小電極振動装置を試作した。この装置は, 一定の三角波の周波数と電圧をガラス管電極に通電して電極の先端を微細に振動させることによってin vivoでラットのPOAニューロン内に電極を刺入するものである. この装置を用いて視床下部弓状核 (ME) の電気刺激に対してantidromic (AD), orthodromic (OD) またはnon-response (NR) を示すPOAニューロンの細胞録を試みた. その結果, 細胞録の成功率は144中36細胞で25%と低かった. 更に細胞録の可能な時間が短く, 長くて15分, 一般的には数分であった. また今回の実験では予めAD, OD反応またはNRを細胞外記録法によって観察, 同定してから微小電極を細胞内に刺入した. その理由は細胞録時にMEを電気刺激した場合, 細胞が死滅してしまう例が多かったからである. これ等の点については本装置を更に改良する必要があるが, 静止電位, 閾値電位, spikeおよびover-shoot等の興奮時膜電位, 陰性および陽性後電位, 後脱分極および脱分極などの活動電位の各要素が観察されたことからラットのPOAニューロンの細胞録の可能性が示唆された.

胎内あるいは出生時の記憶を描写した絵(「胎憶画」とする)では,光や音,水,へその緒,包まれている様子などが,ジグザグ線や二重円,マンダラ型などの描画パターンで表現されており,それらは,母子にとって意味のあるシンボルだと思われる。そこで,幼児の表現活動を活性化させるとともに,望ましい母子関係への気づきを促すために,「胎憶画」を描く活動が有効なのではないかと考えた。本論では,ワークショップ「ママのおなかにいた頃を思い出そう-絆のドローイング-胎憶」の実践及び胎憶画の分析を通し,以下の点を明らかにした。(1)胎憶に関する子どもの発話を,「五感」,「感情」,「姿勢や動き」の3つに分類し,それぞれに対応する描画パターンやシンボルを確認するとともに,胎憶画の解釈を行った。(2)母子ワークショップにおいて「胎憶画」を用いることによって,幼児の表現活動を活性化させるとともに,母子の絆を深めるといった効果が確認できた。

There are many guidebooks of Kyoto published during the Edo period. The text and illustration of the guidebooks have attracted the interests of many researchers as a means of capturing historical lifestyles and landscapes. In this research, the author started with construction of a database of the guidebooks in Kyoto. Spatial information and various attributes were added to each record. The spatial distribution of sights and its changes over time were clarified. In particular the guide books that specialized in "nature" and "sight-seeing route" influenced the spatial distribution. Consequently, formation of well-known sights and the conditions for continuing fame were revealed. The above result demonstrates that analyses using GIS are valid also in historical spaces.

アブラナ科野菜根こぶ病の発生史について述べたのち,本病原菌(Plasmodiophora brassicae)の生活環並びに発生生態からみた防除視点について問題点を指摘し論議した。本病原菌の生活環からみた防除視点として,(1)休眠胞子の発芽あるいは死滅促進による菌量の減少,(2)第1次遊走子の活動制御による根毛感染阻止と感染根毛内における発育阻害,(3)第2次遊走子の活動制御による皮層感染阻止と宿主体内における増殖阻害を挙げた。さらにこの種の防除法確立の基礎知見として,休眠胞子の発芽とそれに及ぼす要因,第1次および第2次遊走子の特徴,宿主体への侵入と体内における増殖について述べた。また本病の発生生態からみた防除視点の基礎として,温度,土壌湿度,土壌pH,日照,±質などの環境要因,その他病原菌の土壌中の分布,生存期間と死滅要因,伝搬方法などについてふれた。今後さらに病原菌の諸性質を良く理解し,理論的総合防除法確立の必要性について述べた。

In spite of some efforts made by Vollers, C. A. Nallino and Taha Husayn, the etymology of Arabic 'adab (literature) has not been explained clearly yet. This paper is to trace the origin of the word to Pahlavi aδven (ak) from two points of view, phonetical and semantic.
It will be easily accepted that Pahlavi aδven or aδvenak passed to Arabic 'adab because of their phonetic coincidence. While Pahlavi aδven (ak) suffered the phonetic change to become aiven (ak), from which Modern Persian word 'ayin appeared and this is why Arabic 'adab and Modern Persian 'ayin share the same meaning (way, manner).
As for the semantic development of Pahlavi aδven (ak), we can divide it into three stages. The first is “way, manner”, the second is “etiquette” and the third is “species, form, aspect” etc. Among these three categories of the meaning, only the last one did not pass into Arabic because it developed within the isolated scope of Zoroastrian theology in Islamic days.
The first meaning “way, manner” is common in Pahlavi literature and used in Arabic like 'adabu lharb (way of battle). The second meaning “etiquette” which is used especially in Pahlavi Andarz-books is very popular in Arabic as is widely known. At the same time the Sassanians gave much importance on the etiquette concerning holding the banquet (Cf. 'Ayin li'Ardashir). This is why Arabic verb 'adaba ('adb) means “to invite to the banquet”.

岐阜県高山市を中心おする冷涼地帯のハウス栽培ホウレンソウの根部病害の発生とそれに関与する病原菌の生態について調査研究を行った。ホウレンソウの根部病害の発生は栽培初期の5月と末期の10月に少なく,6〜9月に多い。子葉期の立枯病はP. aphanidermatum, P. paroecandrumによるものが多く,とくに夏期に被害が大きい。その他2〜4葉期の立枯病はR. solaniによることが多い。R. solaniは5葉期以降の株腐病の原因ともなる。R. solaniを菌糸融合により類別すると第4群が最も多く,その他水田跡地のハウス土壌から第2群,第2型が多く分離された。生育中期以降F. oxysporum f. sp. spinaciaeによる萎ちょう病が発生する。萎ちょう病は高温で発生し易く,とくに夏期に被害が著しい。F. oxysporum f. sp. spinaciaeによる萎ちょう病は黄褐色の軽埴土壌,連作年数の多い土壌,水田跡地より畑地土壌,標高の低い地帯で発生が多い。R. solaniによる立枯病と株腐病,Pythium属菌による立枯病は一部黒ボク土壌を含む灰〜黒色の埴壌土,水田跡地のハウスで発生し易い傾向にあった。

In the Koran, some words of personal noun have two (or more) different plural forms, the sound plural and the broken plural. This phenomenon might be explained by assuming that the words of plural notion have one signification but they have different meanings each other (The term ‘meaning’ here is meant what the personal nouns imply, how they sound like, besides of their simple and dry ‘signification.’). The aim of this essay is to try to explain the difference of the meanings among the different plural forms of the personal nouns. The main points of the essay are as follows.
1. A comparative study of meanings between the sound plurals and the broken plurals leads us to induce that the broken plurals have extreme or emphatic meaning while the sound plurals have general or simple meaning. For instance, the word ‘jahilun’ (ignorants) implies the people who apt to act wrongly, while the word ‘juhhal’ means the men of foolish nature. Moreover, the word ‘alimun’ simply means the people who know, and the word “ulama” means the learned men, scholars.
2. The above mentioned extremity of meaning in Arabic personal nouns should be divided into two poles; the pole of superiority, and the pole of inferiority. The word “ulama” would be in superior pole because of the scholars' high intellectual level, while the word ‘juhhal’ would be in inferior pole because of the ignorants' low intellectual level.
3. There are nine broken plural patterns of Arabic personal nouns in all. They are, fu'al, fu'al, fa'alah, fu'alah, fu'ala', 'af'ila', fa'la, fa'l, fa'alilah.
4. In the Koran, some personal nouns have two or more broken plural forms. For instance, the word ‘kafir’ (disbeliever) has such broken plural forms as ‘kafarah’, ‘kuffar’, ‘kawafir’, ‘kufur’, etc. In such case, the extreme meaning of the word should be regarded as to have been diffused to each plural form.
Thus the meaning of Arabic personal nouns is to some extent combined with their plural forms and patterns.

Sharp grass electrodeを用いた細胞録法は，in vivo，in vitroを問わず多くの実験系で行われ，多くの成果を上げてきた．その一方で，現在，ニューロンの機能解析に関してはパッチクランプ法によるアプローチが全盛である．しかしsharp grass electrodeを用いた細胞録法には，細胞質のwashoutを最小限に抑えられること，成熟動物標本へ適用しやすいといったパッチクランプ法に勝る長所がある．また，記録細胞にbiocytin等を注入して染色する場合，sharp grass electrodeを用いれば細胞外への漏れがほとんどなく，極めて美しい標本を作成することが出来る．したがって細胞録法は，パッチクランプ法では得ることが困難な情報を引き出せる手法であり，お互いを相補的に用いることによって，より多くのニューロンの情報を解析することが出来る．本稿では，脳スライス標本を用いた細胞録法について，パッチクランプ法と比較しながらその手技を紹介する．
