In this paper, we discussed a static analysis of double-effect thermal and electrical hybrid adsorption refrigerator. Double effect cycles can provide higher
COP than that of single-effect cycle. This system may be effective for heat source temperature higher than single-effect cycle. We have proposed a compressor assisted thermal and electrical hybrid adsorption refrigerator. In this system, a compressor is incorporated into the thermally double-effect refrigerator for promoting desorption vapor transportation between 1
st and 2
nd adsorber. So, we have studied the effect of a compressor on cycle performance was investigated in
COPsystem,
COPelectricity and
SCE.
The result shows that thermal and electrical hybrid system can drive below 60 ℃. We have achieved
COPsystem of the system
higher than that obtained by thermal operated double-effect cycle. And the
SCE has same as that of thermal operated double-effect cycle. It was observed that incorporated compressor efficiency affected performance of
SCE,
COPsystem and
COPelectricity. On the conditions high compressor efficiency,
COPelectricity and
COPsystem obtained high performance.
