This document considers the relation between haptic sense and the entertainment. By exemplif-
ing the iPhone, we describe the importance of the interface technology. The key technology to combine the
real world, human and the virtual world together is the interface technology. Here many types of interfaces
are made by using haptics. Though the use of haptics is limited to input devices. Essentially the haptic
itself is a bidirectional sense, called \active touch." So the output device is also important. Furthermore,
correspondence of input and output is the ¯nal goal of haptic device, which is an interface technology for
entertainment.
