In the transportation sector in Japan, the countermeasure for mitigating CO_2 emission is likely to be slower progress. In this study, we think about the promotion of truck with biofuel in order to contribute to CO_2 emission abatement. That is, we consider renewable liquid fuel which is synthesized by biomass feedstock. We conducted low pressure methanol synthesis experiment to assess to reduce pressurization energy and avoid high pressure gas safety act. From the result in previous study, the experiment has several problems, then this study conduct low pressure synthesis with new experimental apparatus. Finally, this study assesses CO_2 emission from viewpoint of Well-to-wheels (WtW) analysis based on life cycle assessment methodology.
