Creep-rupture properties of the Cr-Mo type weld deposits (1 Cr-Mo and 2 Cr-Mo) with pure iron and Cr-Mo rod have been investigated.
The results are as fallows:
(1) The short-time creep-rupture strength of the weld deposits of Cr-Mo rod is bigger than that of the weld deposits of pure iron rod. The weld deposits of pure iron rod, however, is somewhat stronger as for the longtime creep rupture.
(2) The foregoing inclination can be noticed in a shorter time in case of 1 Cr-Mo weld deposits than in case of 2 Cr-Mo weld deposito, and when the test temperature is made higher.
(3) The master curve shows that the weld deposits of pure iron rod has longer rupture life for higher stresses as compared with 1 Cr-Mo weld deposit's approx. 25-500h and over times at 500-550°C, and 2 Cr-Mo weld deposits' approx. 200-500h and over times, at 550-600°C.
