ニュートン以来の大発見と週刊誌にまでとり上げられたカタストロフ理論に対する喧噪も過去のものになってしまった. あれは単なる一過性のものだったのか, それとも静かに学問として根を張りつつあるのか. その解答は読者の判断に委ねることにし, この交流では判断の資料として, 物理にとってカタストロフ理論のもつ意義, 物理あるいはその周辺の分野での応用の現状について述べる. 転移現象, 臨界現象, 振動現象・・・・・・と, かなり多種類の現象に, しかも現象ごとに肌合いのちがった応用の仕方で, 議論を展開する.

This paper proposes a method to calculate the steady state stability limit in the two synchronus machines connected to an infinite bus system from only two power equations; namely, the simultaneous power equa-tions show critical points of a potential function in the two variables. Considering that the two equations represent a vector field, one differential equation is derived as a solution when a functional relation between the two transformed variables is assumed. This differential equation is an infinite series of the one variable. If the theory of catastrophy is applied to the function which is obtained by integrating the differential equa-tion, a bifurcation set can be obtained.
Elmination of the fixed points from the obtained equation and the simultaneous equations to calculate the fixed points leads to the expression for the steady state stability limit curve (represented by P₁, P₂).
This curve is considerably swayed by the change of the nominal induced voltage, but if the quadrature-axis fluxes φ_q1 and φ_q2 are used, a new curve can be freed from the effect of the nominal induced voltage.

デザインの基礎教育では実技や演習に多くの時間がさかれるべきである.しかし, 2年制の造形芸術系専門学校や短期大学, また4年制の教員養成系大学の美術教育においては, 十分な授業時間を確保する余裕がない.そこで, 基礎デザインの教育目的である発想力や構成感覚を養成しながらある程度専門的なデザインプロセスを経験できるよう, 難易度の高い条件や制約を設けた課題を設定することがある.
この場合, 受講者は基礎的な描写力や発想力に未習熟な者が多く, また, 人門としては比較的高度な課題に複雑なモチーフを選定することはふさわしくないので, 基礎造形力に左右されない「幾何図形」を素材として用いることがよくおこなわれる.
本研究では, 「タングラム (Tangram) 」と「立方体の展開」を用いて教員養成系大学, 被服系短期大学, 工芸系専門学校で試みた基礎デザイン教育の実践例2題を紹介する.

Water-cooled-panels for electric arc furnaces have been very popular with the spread of the ultra-high-powered operation. These panels, however, have the problem that cooling water pours in furnace through the hole caused by thermal fatigue and thermal overload. To improve the water-cooled-panels, the spray-cooled-roof system has been developed by Ucar Carbon Co., Inc. This system is characterized by that water spray hits the roof panel and the sprayed water is drained by Venturi pump to maintain the atmospheric pressure in the roof structure.
Daido Steel has introduced this technology and conducted the test operation using the 70 tons electric arc furnace in Chita plant. As a results, it is expected the elongation of the service life, the improvement of operational rate, safer operation and the decrease in maintenance costs. Based on these test results, this system will be applied to the commercial production line in Japan.

古い時代、人間が創造した建築物に文様を刻むとき、何らかのメッセージを込めたはずである。それは、建築物に住む側の人間にとって、子々孫々に至るまで生命が永遠に続き、さらにその繁栄を約束するような、そのような祈願を反映した呪術的なものを制作したであろうとの確信から、古建築における植物文様の意匠をCADにより対数螺旋を用いて合成し、再現した。古建築の植物文様において、対数螺旋は植物そのものを表現したり、または単純化されたパターンとなって繰り返したり、渦を巻いたり、植物文様の余白を埋めたりと、リズミカルに見え隠れし、永遠の生命を演出していた。それは見るものに華やかさを与え、植物文様を神聖視させ、永遠に見守られているという信念を抱かせるのに効果的なデザイン要素として、現代に至るまで引継がれ使用されているものであった。

A weak magnetic field associated with eye movement (Magneto-oculogram: MOG) is analysed both experimentally and theoretically in this study.
First, a spatial distribution of the MOG signals is experimentally measured by SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) with a second derivative gradiometer in a magnetically shielded room.
Second, under the assumption that the source of the MOG signals can be approximated by one current dipole, it has been theoretically conjectured that there exists a current dipole of 200-350nA-m in the retina.

Some facility may disappear, or, very lacking facility may increase like the day care center. However, we could not predict that facilities appeared or disappeared. We construct a model of the joint use facilities using utility function and cost function of the joint user number. By the fluctuation of utility function and cost function, it is shown that the appearance and disappearance of facilities can be estimated. It is also proven that facilities suddenly appeared or extinguished, when utility function and cost function slightly changed even in. The above results suggest that home and facilities should be understood as the realization form of one service.

ひと筆描きには, 線の交わらないものと交わるものとの2種類がある。ナスカの地上絵に描かれている具象画は, すべて交点のないひと筆描きであった。それらはもっとも素朴なひと筆描きである。しかしそれとは別に, 描線が複雑にからみ合いながら, 具象的な形をなしているひと筆描きがある。以上の2種類のひと筆描きが, 近代画家の作品のなかにいろいろな形であらわれる。例えばマチスには, ひと筆描きのアウトラインで人体の動きを単的に巧みにあらわしている作例があるし, 線描の画家クレーには, 柔軟なひと筆描きの作品や, 複雑な直線の構成の全体がひと筆描きになっていて, それが画面の構造となっているようなものもみられる。またエッシャーには, どこまでも同じ形が連続していくひと筆描きのパターンとなっている作品が多い。あるいはマグリットは, 比較的単純なひと筆描きの形の中に, 異質な空間を描て超現実的な画面を創造している。ピカソの素描には, いくつもの交点をもつ即興的なひと筆描きの作例があって, それらが意外に写実的表現になっている。以上のように, ひと筆描きという視点から見ることで, それぞれの画家の思考過程や作画の特質が具体的にみえてくるように思われる。

A stiff testing machine is generally used to measure load-displacement curves having falling branch of concrete specimens. However, when the failure of specimens is unstable (uncontrollable), the stiff testing machine is insufficient to measure the load-displacement curves having falling branch. In this paper, the unstable failure of specimens was discussed from viewpoint of catastrophic theory, and a new system to measure automatically the load-displacement curves having falling branch was proposed. The load-displacement curves of compressive specimens (∅10×20cm) of high strength concrete and high strength light-weight concrete were measured by the new system.

目的 公益財団法人日本医療機能評価機構の医療事故情報収集等事業 第42回報告書 （2015年4月〜6月）によると与薬時の患者または薬剤の間違いに関連した事例は2010年から2015年6月までに計42件報告され、薬剤間違いでは与薬の際に複数の患者の薬剤を1つの容器に入れるなどの準備段階により事故が発生しやすいことが報告されている。当院においても、以前より病棟にて配薬カートを導入していたが、患者毎の個別セットではなく用法起点毎にセットする方法が取られており、与薬対象者の間違いが発生しやすい状況であった。今回患者毎に個別セットを行う配薬カートを導入し、薬剤師と看護師が協働しセットをするダブルチェック体制を構築した。 方法 配薬カートを全病棟に配置し、薬局スタッフと看護師が各一名ずつ共同してセットを行うようにした。患者毎に薬剤内容や用法用量を記したカード（薬札）を作り、看護師が読み上げて薬局スタッフが一包化の印字を確認してから看護師が配薬カートへセットするというダブルチェック体制を行った。看護部より一包化の要望があったため、できるだけ薬剤を一包化するように処方箋を変更していった。2018年度からは短期入所の患者の持参薬の確認と配薬カートへのセットも行った。 結果および考察 薬剤の紛失や不足、破損の発生は2016年度で11件であったのが、2018年度には2件と82%減少した。要因としてダブルチェック体制により確実に配薬カートに薬がセットされたこと、配薬カートセットに伴い一包化の包数をできるだけ少なくしたこと、また、患者個別セットに変えたことにより、視認性が向上し与薬業務が行いやすくなったことが考えられる。さらに、薬局スタッフと看護師が共同で業務を行うことで、情報共有がしやすくなり、患者情報の迅速な把握につながっている。 申告すべきCOIはない。

はじめに A地域の重症心身障害児（以下、重症児）は地域内に短期入所施設がないため、郊外の施設を利用せざるを得なかった。行政の要請および近隣の重症児患者のために、我々は急性期混合病棟であるB病院C病棟でレスパイト入院事業を開始したので、導入経過を報告する。なお、本報告の発表についてはB病院看護部の承認を得た。 実践経過 B病院C病棟は、小児科担当看護師8名、小児科医5名で運営される7：1看護の小児科・内科の混合病棟（47床）である。 2017年10月に看護師、小児科医、医療ソーシャルワーカーなどでワーキンググループを発足した。まず、レスパイト入院を実施している他施設を見学し、入院システム構築の参考にした。加えて小児看護専門看護師の支援を得て、病院職員に重症児の看護について定期的な学習機会を作った。2018年4月からC病棟でレスパイト入院事業を開始し、2018年度の利用患者数は4人、延べ入院件数は10件、延べ入院日数は37日であった。 レスパイト入院1例実施後に、C病棟の担当看護師へ自由記載のアンケートを実施した。重症児のケアは時間を要するため事前の勤務体制の調整が必要となること、夜勤帯は看護師の人数が減るため、重症児看護への不安が増すことが判明した。結果を踏まえ、入院時期・日数、勤務体制の事前調整を図り、夜勤帯の看護体制の不安を軽減させるために当該病床にビデオカメラを設置した。 考察および今後の課題 重症児とその家族が安心してレスパイト入院を過ごすためには、入院前の入念な情報収集や個人に合わせた看護が必要となる。一般的に混合病棟では小児科病棟と比較して、十分な医療ケアを提供できないなどの理由から重症児の入院が忌避される。しかし、C病棟では重症児の看護を時折実践していたため、混合病棟ながらレスパイト入院事業を開始できた。現在は、平日のみの受け入れだが、今後は看護体制を整えることで休日運用ができるように努める。 申告すべきCOIはない。
