Picrite basalts are distributed in the Mt. -Takayama area of Shizuoka city, Shizuoka Prefecture. This area spans the Setogawa tectonic belt sediments composed of middle Eocene sandstone and shale. We found picrite basalt with pillow lavas at Yuyama near the Mt. -Takayama. Pillow lavas are found with weathered sediments with pillow breccia flows. This is the first record of picrite pillow lavas in Setogawa tectonic belt.
-Takayama picrite basalts contained many large phenocrysts of olivine, in which have high mg# [= Mg/(Mg+Fe) atomic ratio] and many chromian spinel inclusions. Some olivines have kink banding deformation characteristics. Whole rock chemical compositions showed that -Takayama picrite basalts are classified to komatiite or meimechite. -Takayama picrite basalts belong to ocean island basalts (OIB) by the chemical composition of Al₂O₃ and TiO₂ of spinel inclusions trapped in the olivine. Equilibrium temperatures of the -Takayama picrite basalts are calculated to about 1140°C or over, relative to the olivine-spinel geothermometer. -Takayama picrite basalts are part of the accretionary prism in the Setogawa tectonic belt.

ベリーダンスの起源は古代エジプトで、「豊穣祈願」「女神信仰」などのために踊られていたと言われています。紀元前シュメール人が築いた都市文明や、古代エジプト文明の壁画や工芸品にこの踊りの原型のようなものが描かれている事から、最も歴史ある舞踊だと考えられています。また、「子宮の踊り」、「出産の踊り」とされ、今でも中東地域では　子孫繁栄のため結婚式などで踊られています。19世紀になるとイギリスによるエジプトの植民地化によって、中東文化と西洋文化の融合が起きました。カイロの富裕層向けのナイトクラブで、パリのキャバレーやニューヨークのブロードウェイなどを模したエンターテイメント性が強くショー的に洗練されたベリーダンスが踊られるようになり、現在のベリーダンスの原型が確立されました。20世紀になるとアメリカでベリーダンスブームが起こり、大きな舞台でショー的に踊られるようになりました。本来の優しい動きではなく、見た目が派手な激しい動きに変化したことにより、身体を痛めるダンサーが増えました。遅れること、日本でも2005年頃ベリーダンスブームが起こり、このような理由により身体を痛めるダンサーが後を絶ちませんでした。私自身もブームにのり同じように腰と股関節を痛めてしまいました。その時女性性を高めるためのダンスなのに体を痛めるのはおかしいと思いました。そして、その矛盾を追求し、辿り着いたのがボディーロジックだったのです。これこそが本来のベリーダンスの動きだったのです。エジプトをはじめとする中東の人々は生活の中に踊る習慣があるので誰でもすぐ踊ることができるのですが、西洋人はその習慣がないため動かし方が分からずに表面的に動いている部分を意識して動かしていたのが、体を痛める原因だというが分かりました。このワークショップでは人間の自然な動きのボディーロジックを意識して踊ってゆきます。それではワークショップを始めましょう。 このワークショップでは最初に身体をさすり身体をゆるめていきます。するとロックが解かれたように筋肉の緊張がほぐれてゆきます。体が十分ほぐれたら次に歩きましょう。人間にとって一番自然な動きは二足歩行で歩くことです。そのことを基本とし、延長線上に身体に無理のない動きがあります。この自然な動きこそが癒しのベリーダンスの基本となる動きです。（お腹の伸びとゆるみを感じながら歩きましょう）このようにボディーロジックを意識することにより身体が素直に動くようになり、体を痛めることなく踊り続けることができるようになります。

This paper evaluates the performance of the sediment bypass tunnel that diverts the suspended sediment from Lake to downstream reaches below dam. In such a complex processes during bypassing, it is difficult to predict the sediment bypassed efficiency numerically. Therefore, the digital image techniques were developed and implemented to measure the flow pattern and suspended sediment concentration SSC for the first time in dam. Where, field measurements were conducted during flood seasons in June and July 2010. Surface flow velocity and SSC were analyzed to clarify the performance before and after the commencement bypassing operation mode. The measured sediment bypassed efficiency assists the decision making on optimization of bypassing performance and validates numerical prediction. The facility proved its effectiveness in mitigating reservoir sedimentation in dam and turbidity of river water contributing towards restoration of downstream environment.

平成23年3月までに直腸脱と診断されGant-法（+Thiersch法）手術が施行された症例の中で，1年以上経過観察された31例を対象として検討を加え以下の結果を得た．1．男性16.1％，女性83.9％で女性が圧倒的に多かった．2．平均年齢は82.3±8.1歳で高齢者に多かった．3．手術時間は平均41分であった．4．術後合併症としては，術後23日目に排便後にHbが約3g/dl下降する大量の出血症例を1例，縫縮糸の固定部が1年後に挿入部皮膚から露出した症例を1例，肛門管周囲の歯状腺近傍の括約筋下に縫縮糸が挿入されたために排便障害・排便時痛が出現した症例を1例それぞれ認めた．5．再発は5/31例（16.2％）であった．脱出腸管の長さで5cm未満と5cm以上で分けると前者が1/8例（12.5％），後者が4/23例（17.4％）であった．

For preserving a comfortable river ecosystem, it is important to restore the riffle and pools within engineered channels, where should play a role in the habitat diversity. It will be no easy task to restore the pool-riffle and bars in flat rock-bed river which is lightly covered with gravels, as contrasted with in the gravel river. Kinoshita and (1974) proposed the condition for preventing downstream movement of bars in meandering gravel rivers. This work is intended to apply this condition to meandering rock-bed rivers. By depositing sand and gravel in meandering section, it will be assumed to generate some bars in spite of rock-bed rivers. We investigate the validity of the Kinoshita and condition by experimental and numerical survey in mobile-bed and fixed-bed channel. For mobile-bed, we reconfirmed that the Kinoshita and condition is valid. For rock-bed, we derive the condition of deposition of sand in meandering section by relating with the ratio of meander length to channel width and the angle of meander.

Background: Orthostatic intolerance markedly affects the day-to-day activities of patients with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) or chronic fatigue syndrome. Chronotropic incompetence (CI), defined as an impaired chronotropic response or reduced increases in heart rate during exercise and resulting in lower exercise capacity, may also be observed during orthostasis in patients with ME.

Methods and Results: In this study, the recordings of 101 adult patients with ME (36 men, 65 women; mean [±SD] age 37±12 years) who underwent conventional active 10-min standing tests at least 3 times to determine the presence of CI were analyzed. Recordings were selected for 13 patients who experienced tests both with and without exhibiting postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS; an increase in heart rate of ≥30 beats/min or an actual heart rate of ≥120 beats/min) while also both successfully completing and failing to complete 10-min standing on different occasions. Subjects in whom failure without POTS was observed in any test(s) while success was associated with POTS on other occasions were considered positive for CI during orthostasis. Of the 13 patients, 12 (92%) were CI positive, 5 (38%) of whom exclusively failed the tests without experiencing POTS.

Conclusions: Some patients with ME were CI positive during standing tests, suggesting impaired sympathetic activation. The presence of POTS appears to be essential for maintaining orthostasis in these patients.

Rectal prolapse (RP) most commonly occurs among elderly women and is caused by vulnerable suspensory tissue in the pelvis. In Japan, the Gant-

-Thiersch procedure (GMT) is recommended for elderly people with poor general health. We retrospectively analyzed clinical data from 12 patients who underwent GMT at our hospital from September 2005 to July 2021 and investigated the effect of GMT on the mesorectum using abdominal-pelvic computed tomography (CT) performed for other diseases. The median age of the cohort was 82 years, and 92% of the subjects were women. The median RP length was 5 cm, and the median follow-up period was 60 months. Recurrence was observed in 1 of 12 patients (8.0%). CT conducted before and more than 6 months after GMT revealed no abnormal findings in the mesorectum, whereas CT within 5 months after GMT revealed hyperdense fat in the mesorectum in all three patients (100%; P < 0.05). The RP recurrence rate after the GMT was low. The mechanism of the effect of GMT may involve not only a direct mucosal plicating effect but also adhesional rectosacral fixation due to the presence of inflammation extending to the mesorectum.

1. In extending our previous studies a number of hydroxy compounds were tested for their acceptor function in the enzymatic transglycosylation using β-glucosidase and β-galactosidase preparations from elder (Sambucus Sieboldiana) leaves and apricot emulsin.
2. It was found that most of aliphatic alcohols were able to act as the acceptor of β-glucosyl and β-galactosyl groups, while lactate and malate were inactive in this reaction.
3. In respect of either β-glucosidase or β-galactosidase the efficiency of various alcohols as acceptor in the transglycosylation differred between the enzyme of elder leaves and that of apricot emulsin, indicating that the acceptor specificity of the enzyme catalyzing transglycosylation may differ with the source of the enzyme.

Only four colours, white, blue, red and black, appear through the whole description of the Kojiki (古事記). In the mythical part of the book, white and blue are always connected with Takama-ga-hara (高天原) -the heaven-, and in the part on human histories in which the social order is described, the two colours are always connected with emperors. In the same way, red is related to the Izumo (出雲) area and to queens and princes, and black to Yomi-no-kuni (黄泉国) -the world of death- as well as to subjects of emperors. These colours are also applied systematically to the names of places appearing in the Kojiki. Especially throughout the district of Yamato (倭), white is set to Yoshino (吉野) and Asuka (飛鳥), blue to the mountain area around the Yamato basin, and red to (三輪) and Katsuragi (葛城). Yoshino, being the area where the emperor Tenmu (天武) staged his coup d'etat, became the "Mecca" of his dynasty. It was in Asuka that his palace was lccated. At , there is the shrine of Omononushi-no-kami (大物主神), who assisted the emperor's control in economic matters ; and at Katsuragi, there is the shrine of Kotoshironushi-no-kami (事代主神), who supported him in political matters. If you draw a white line between Yoshino and Asuka, and then draw a red line between and Katsuragi, you will find that the two lines cross at right angles on the map and that they form the figure of a bird spreading its wings in flight. In the fifteenth year of the emperor Tenmu's era, he gave the name "Sucho" (朱鳥) -a holy red bird- to that year and retrospectively called the past years of his reign "Byakuho" (白鳳) -a white phoenix. He also gave the name Asuka (飛鳥) to his capital. Of the two Chinese characters which form the term Asuka the "pillow words" of which are "Tobu-tori-no", the former means "flying" and the latter "a bird". From such an analysis of terms like Sucho, Byakuho and Asuka we can conclude that they originated from a predetermined design of the unknown author of the Kojiki.

For the purpose of forecasting the bacterial leaf blight of rice plants, the successive changes in the population of Xanthomonas oryzae bacteriophage in irrigation water were examined periodically during the rice growing period in diseased area of -machi, Fukuoka Prefecture. Thus obtained results were analysed relating to the disease occurrence.

Objective Central nervous system dysfunction associated with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) has been suggested to be the main cause of chronic fatigue syndrome. In animal models of chronic fatigue, minocycline was reported to act as a suppressor of neural inflammation. Minocycline may thus exert favorable therapeutic effects in patients with ME.

Methods Oral minocycline (100 mg×2 on the first day, followed by 100 mg/day for 41 days) was administered to 100 patients with ME. The performance status score (0-9), orthostatic intolerance during the 10-min standing test, neurologic disequilibrium, and neuropathic pain were compared before and after treatment.

Results After therapy completion, favorable effects were observed with a decrease in the performance status score of ≥2 points in 27 patients (27%). Before treatment, 6 of the 27 patients had orthostatic intolerance with an inability to complete the 10-min standing test; after treatment, this symptom resolved in 4 and improved in 2 patients. In addition, after treatment, postural orthostatic tachycardia resolved in five of eight patients, disequilibrium resolved in five of eight patients, and fibromyalgia or neuropathic pain was attenuated in four of five patients. The favorable effects appeared dependent on a shorter disease duration, primarily for a duration of less than three years and most frequently within six months of the disease onset. However, acute adverse effects with nausea and/or dizziness caused 38 patients (38%) to discontinue treatment in the first few days.

Conclusion Oral minocycline therapy may be an effective treatment option for patients with ME, especially in the initial stage of the disease.

This paper presents evaluation methods on the local damage of ultra high strength or reinforced concrete plates. Empirical equations for evaluation of the local damage of ultra high strength concrete plates are proposed based on the previous test results conducted by the authors. Characteristics of the theoretical model proposed by et al. are examined by parametric calculation. The theoretical method is modified for concrete plates externally strengthened with FRP sheets or short fiber reinforced concrete plates.

In this paper, we show that the Garnier system in n-variables has affine Weyl group symmetry of type B⁽¹⁾_n+3. We also formulate the τ-functions for the Garnier system (or the Schlesinger system of rank 2) on the root lattice Q(C_n+3) and show that they satisfy Toda equations, Hirota- equations and bilinear differential equations.
