We report three cases of

deletion) with various complications including hearing loss and nasopharyngeal problems. All three cases we report here had congenital cardiac defects. Two of the three cases had cleft palate, one overt and the other submucoals. Although one of the three cases had a normal hearing level, the other two were almost deaf, one with and the other without inner ear anomalies. The former case was prescribed a hearing aid, and for the latter case, cochlear implantation operation was conducted at the age of three years and seven months. Both of these patients have successfully developed communication skills.

shows a variety of phenotypes, including hearing loss and nasopharyngeal malformations, either of which may disturb speech ability and thus, furthermore, mental development of the child. However, this condition may be improved by early and adequate intervention. Thus, otolaryngologists should be familiarized with the typical facial abnormality and most frequent manifestations of this syndrome, and be ready to treat patients with
22
q11 deletion, providing them with intensive and individualized prescription at their early stages.

Intracerebral injection of vegetative myxamoebae of strains of Polysphondylium pallidum caused 80 to 100% mortality in mice, whereas a 30 to 50% mortality occurred with strains of Dictyostelium giganteum and D. mucoroides. Death is attributable to an unidentified toxic factor. Histopathologically a giant cell formation was seen in the spleen of mice. This cell was different from Langerhan's or foreign body giant cell. Rats injected intracerebrally behaved similarly. Intranasal instillation of myxamoebae in guinea pigs caused transient pneumonia. Myxamoebae do not multiply in the brain tissues of mice or rats, or in the lungs of guinea pigs.
Intranasal instillation of vegetative myxamoebae is less pathogenic than free living amoebae like Hartmanella culbertsoni, H. rhysodes, Naegleria sp. (Culbertson strain HB-1), or Naegleria aerobia.

The
22
nd Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Science Education (JSSE) was held on July 29-31, 1998 at Tokyo Gakugei University in western suburb of Tokyo with about 290 registrants under the main theme of "Towards Implementation of Science Curriculum for Construction of Creation and Symbiosis." Number of papers over 210 were presented in both main sessions and general presentations. There were two symposiums, one lecture, one forum, one international forum, one workshop, three sessions of themes set by the steering committee and ten sessions of themes set independently by members of JSSE in main sessions. Also, there were many other general presentations. Many papers were presented coping with the main theme. They were a lecture related to learning and creativity based on advance of brain, and many presentations related to symbiosis such as relation between in-door and out-door school activities, school based research activities such as curriculum development, and way of finding new methodology of research on classroom, consistency of curriculum through elementary to high school, pre-service teacher education, and so on. Contents of claims and discussions in every presentation in main sessions are summarized in this paper.

A financial market is a diversified dynamical system with many constraints, and price movements are modeled in terms of the micro properties of each transactions and the macro properties of dynamical systems. These two properties must be bridged by the multiplicity. The model forcuses on the size of tick and the number of transactions with the price movement compared with the previous transctions and explains stochastic nature of short-term volatilities and persistently stable long-term volatilities as a results of unique behaviour of heterogeneous market participants.

The phase decomposition of the β′ phase in the Zn-
22
mass%Al and Zn-
22
mass%Al-
2
mass%Cu at room temperature was followed by means of the X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Vickers hardness (VH) measurements. Alloys were homogenized at 623 K for 432 ks and then quenched at 275 K. Immediately, they were characterized by XRD and simultaneously other samples were analyzed by hardness Vickers measurements. The XRD results showed that the β′ phase is unstable at room temperature and its decomposition finished after 1.8 and 18 ks by the following reaction, β′→α+η, for the Zn-
22
mass%Al and Zn-
22
mass%Al-
2
mass%Cu alloys, respectively. The TEM analysis was carried out in the Zn-
22
mass%Al-
2
mass%Cu alloy, which showed a slower kinetics than the Zn-
22
mass%Al alloy. The TEM results showed in situ that the β′ phase is in coexistence with the ε phase and its decomposition occurs by the formation of colonies composed of nanometric grains of the α and η phases. Such colonies extend to cover completely all the surface of the alloy, followed by the coarsening of grains to the micrometer scale. The Vickers hardness results showed an increase in hardness up to a maximum of 108 and 148 VH, followed by a decreasing in hardness of 50 and 80 VH, for the natural aging of the Zn-
22
mass%Al and Zn-
22
mass%Al-
2
mass%Cu alloys, respectively. These results can be attributed to the presence of the nanometric and micrometric grains, respectively.

The linkage search for susceptibility loci using SNP markers in hereditary hearing loss has proven challenging due to genetic heterogeneity. We conducted a genome-wide linkage analysis using high-density SNP markers in two Korean families (families coded SD-J and SR-167) with autosomal dominant non-syndromic hearing loss (ADNSHL). Evidence was found of linkage at 8q24.13~q24.3 and 10p11.21~q
22
.
2
(LOD 3.01) in the SD-J family. In the case of family SR-167, which had the most affected members, the parametric LOD score was low owing to the lack of power for linkage analysis. However, using non-parametric linkage analysis, it was possible to obtain significant evidence for linkage at 10q
22
.1~q23.31 (LOD 1.79; NPL 6.47, P < 0.00001). There is an overlapping region with a significant LOD score between the SD-J and SR-167 families, which encompasses 4 cM at 10q
22
.1~

. Interestingly, the characteristics of hearing loss in both families were similar, and the haplotype within overlapping region was shared in the affected individuals of the two families. We performed direct sequencing of the candidate genes that are thought to be causing the condition, but no disease-causing mutations were identified.

Chromosomal banding studies were performed on 13 patients with acute myeloid leukemia with maturation (M
2
). Six patients revealed t (8;21) (q
22
;q
22
), five normal karyotype, and the remaining two +8 and inv (16) (p13 q
22
), respectively.
Apparent pseudo-Pelger-Huët anomalies in mature neutrophils were observed in all the 6 patients with t (8;21), but in only one of the 5 patients with normal karyotype. Neutrophil alkaline phosphatase (NAP) score decreased in all but one in the former group while it increased in all the patients in the latter group. The former group had a median follow-up of 20.8 months or more, whereas the latter group had a median survival of 4.4 months or more. Accordingly, it was suggested that two major chromosome subgroups may be present among patients diagnosed as having M
2
: one subgroup with t (8;21) and the other with normal karyotype.
One patient with M
2
and inv (16) showed almost the same hematologic features as those observed in patients with acute myelomonocytic leukemia (M 4) and inv (16) except for a small population (6.8%) of monocytoid cells in the bone marrow.

To elucidate the temperature effects on the crystal growth of C₆₀ molecules at a molecular level, we performed molecular dynamics calculations for the crystal growth to the substrate and nucleation in gas-phase. We found two crystallization processes: (i) a direct crystal growth of C₆₀ molecules onto the crystal substrate, and (ii) a nucleation in the gas-phase under low temperature conditions.

　本稿では，中小企業経営者が自社の管理会計実践に対して抱いている認識について検討する。先行研究では，自らは管理会計を実施していないと認識していながらも自社の財務的業績の推移を確認している中小企業経営者が一定数存在していることが明らかにされている（朝原 2010）。本稿ではこれを受けて，飲食企業4 事例のケース・スタディにより，経営者が認識していないにもかかわらず管理会計が実践されている可能性を考察したい。そして，経営者自身が会計プロセスの一部分しか担っていない場合には，経営者が自社において管理会計を実践していることを認識しない場合があることを示す。そのうえで，中小企業における管理会計の実態をより正確に理解するためには，会計情報の生成・利用プロセスにとどまらず，企業活動の管理のための情報の生成・利用プロセスというより広範な観点からの調査が必要と考えられることを論じる。

および殺菌灯を用いて，光触媒分解反応実験を行った．化学物質の置換基の違いによる分解速度の解析のため，対象とする化学物質は，構造が同じで置換基が異なるHCFC-

，四塩化炭素，メタンを用いた．それぞれの物質の分解反応速度解析をおこなった．主な結果として，分解率はHCFC-

が最も大きく，次いでメタン，CCl₄の順であった．光触媒反応の反応次数は本実験条件範囲では一次であった．総括的反応速度定数から求めた活性化エネルギーはそれぞれHCFC-

が13.7 kJ·mol⁻¹，CCl₄が66.1 kJ·mol⁻¹，メタンが16.6 kJ·mol⁻¹であった．

This paper urges negotiators at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP21) to develop an achievable agreement for the reduction of greenhouse gases that ensures the right of countries to choose nuclear energy in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while meeting their energy and development objectives. This choice should not be prejudiced against in any way by the new UNFCCC protocols, specifically with regards to access to climate funding mechanisms such as Green Climate Funds. “We strongly believe the world must use all available low-carbon energy sources, including nuclear energy, if it is to mitigate the effects of climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while meeting development goals and not impeding on economic growth.” The Nuclear for Climate campaign, in what we believe was the first ever COP discussion panel on nuclear and climate. The discussion was held inside the Generation Climate public arena, and attended by more than 200 people. Today, hydroelectricity and nuclear make up 90％ of the electricity mix of the country, thus allowing the
CO₂
emissions to remain at very low levels. The French nuclear fleet was built over a very short period of time, some 15 years. The replacement of some major components of the various reactors will therefore also take place over a very short period of time, almost at the same time for all reactors. Following the Fukushima accident. safety improvements, will need to be added the safety steps, required in order to extend the lifetime of plants beyond 40 years by “Grand Carénage program”.
