Abstract
A small gas turbine system is introduced, which consists of a turbo-burner and a power turbine. The turbo-burner was originally developed as a pressurized combustion system utilizing a turbo-charger for an automobile. The power extracted by the power turbine is about 10kW. The small gas turbine system is used for the education of undergraduate students at Engineering Science, Osaka University. The main purpose of this educational program is to trigger the interests in real machines, to educate students about technological aspects and safety concepts. All the students are surprised that the gas turbine system makes a big noise. They also experience that their thermophysical knowledge is avairable for real machines.
