Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine visual impression of the uniform lighting and the Adjusted-Compound lighting for a room lit form a window and ceiling. The experiment was carried out with two scaled-models designed like office rooms. Subjects were asked to evaluate overall impression of the state of lighting in the model space by comparing two rooms. The results showed that the impressions of the adjusted compound lighting were better than that of uniformity lighting on the items of 'dim-bright', 'dislike-like', 'artificial-natural' and 'closed-open'.
