On the Cross-Plots Analyses of Water-Well Logs

Abstract

Cross-plotting has been always used in doing the analysis of Oil-well logs.
This paper reports about two examples of cross-plots used in the water-well logs, as well as in the oil-well logs.
Their results clear that, high-permeable layer is extracted by Natural gamma-Resistivity crossplotting, and low-permeable layer (silt and/or clay) is extracted by Natural gamma-Density cross-plotting.
