Abstract
In this paper, the following equations of motion with their boundary conditions were used for a theoretical explanation of the surface wind:
where r and s being the coefficients of slipping, v1 and v2 the coefficients of eddy viscosity and u0 and υ0 the velocity components of the surface wind. The results obtained from the calculation by selecting the proper values of r, s, v1 and v2 were found to agree well with the observations made at various stations.
